What does it take to keep power flowing reliably while the energy landscape grows more complex? For us, a big part of the answer is the microgrid. Solar, battery storage, backup generation & controllable loads all need to work together as one cohesive system. This requires advanced control, protection, simulation and testing. That’s what our scientists and engineers work on every day: helping ensure reliable power for critical infrastructure, industry and communities. Curious how it works in practice? "We create this psychologically safe environment such that people can bring in their questions.” We asked our R&D colleague Chia-Jung Yang why authenticity matters. We believe that when our people can come as they are, we unlock their full potential — and ours as a business. We are committed to fostering a safe, fair and inclusive workplace, so that everyone can help run what runs the world. The signal from the latest State of Global Water Resources 2025 report is clear: pressure on global water systems is growing. The report highlights declining water storage on the earth’s land surface over the past 10 years, and widespread glacier loss for the fourth consecutive year. Addressing these challenges requires building the right infrastructure, with the right data, for the realities communities face on the ground. We understand that resilience is not a one-size-fits all. So our solutions are local and practical. Learn more about our solutions: https://bit.ly/4yW4qMc #EngineeredToOutrun

Direct current (DC) adoption begins where power density is highest. For data centers this means unlocking more computing capacity and distributing power smarter. DC architecture can help data centers get more from the power and space they already have in addition to just energy efficiency. Fewer conversion stages from power architecture could mean: → More than 5%+ efficiency gains → More power for IT loads → Less copper and cooling → Higher power density The direct current revolution is here. Read about it in our latest report: https://lnkd.in/eXh6JQmS #EngineeredToOutrun

Speaking at Climate Week NYC, Cody Taylor, ABB's VP and Group Head of Government Relations and Public Affairs, laid out why we need to electrify a much larger share of the economy- and how to get there. Two priorities lead the way: 🔌 Grid modernization — building flexibility, digital capability, and resilience into our power networks ⚡ Industrial energy efficiency — cutting energy demand to free up capacity for growth elsewhere Our portfolio spans both: microgrids, digital substations, energy storage, and high-efficiency motors and drives — helping customers do more with less. The message to policymakers in New York: the technology is ready to scale today. And it's core to ABB's support for the COP31 target of 35% economy-wide electrification by 2035. Getting there will take governments, businesses, and communities working together, the time to electrify is now. #EngineeredToOutrun
