Every day, your grid’s control room processes millions of signals. Andreas Schierenbeck has seen it firsthand. In 1995, he helped deploy a mission-critical transmission grid software in South America. Since then, he’s been on a career-long journey innovating for the grid and its people. Today, he leads Hitachi Energy as Chief Executive Officer. Over the coming months, our team is on a mission to discover more about control room technology and the role it plays in keeping the grid safe and resilient. We’ll hear from the people who command critical moments, complex systems, and have the responsibility of keeping power flowing so that a child's nightlight never dims. Fifteen years ago it was easy to believe the grid was complete. Energy commentator Niclas Sigholm remembers the mood. "We thought we were finished and done," he says, "because everyone had the electricity they needed." Then people started charging cars at home, factories began moving off fossil fuels, and data centers multiplied. All of that electricity has to travel from where it is made to where people use it, and that takes more lines, more substations and a grid that can do more. "What we need to do now is to make the grid smarter, more capable," says Tobias Hansson, our Country Managing Director in Sweden. Our crews and factories are doing that work today, so the next generation inherits a grid with room to grow. Explore: https://lnkd.in/ex_8aPn8 #TheNext25 #HitachiEnergy

Over two days in Singapore, we met customers, partners and industry peers, and one message came through clearly: AI data centers are as much an energy challenge as a digital one. That's where Hitachi Energy comes in. We help connect data centers to the grid and bring power into the data hall, with power conversion solutions that streamline how electricity reaches the racks. With HMAX Energy, we also give operators the digital tools to monitor and optimize their power systems. Thank you to everyone who visited us at the One Hitachi booth, and to the team who made these two days happen. See you next year! The bottleneck in energy has moved — from what's possible to how fast we deliver it. The technologies exist. The advantage now belongs to those who integrate and deploy at speed. This is how the Electricity Era gets built. Explore the integrated system → https://lnkd.in/gUMCa5iH #PoweringTheElectricityEra #EnergyTransition #HitachiEnergy

Every AI workload starts at the grid. On day one of Data Centre World Asia in Singapore, one question kept coming up: how do you get power to a data center fast enough to keep pace with AI? Demand for capacity is growing faster than grid connections can be built. Operators need power that arrives quickly, scales with them and stays reliable. At the One Hitachi booth (F60), our Grid-to-Rack model follows electricity from the high-voltage substation to the data hall. Alongside it, we're showing our EconiQ eco-efficient high-voltage portfolio and transformers with TVP® technology. Thinking beyond the data center starts with the power behind it. #DataCentreWorldAsia #HitachiEnergy #DCWA2026 #OneHitachi #DataCenters #GridToRack #AIinfrastructure #PowerForAI

⚡ How can Australia move more renewable energy across the grid—reliably and efficiently? Transgrid’s HumeLink project will create a 365-kilometer transmission connection across New South Wales, strengthening the network and supporting the integration of new renewable energy. Hitachi Energy is contributing six giant shunt reactors – Australia’s first 500 kV three-phase units - to help manage voltage and maintain grid stability along this critical transmission corridor. Moving equipment of this scale from the factory to its final destination required careful planning and coordination. ✅ Each of the reactors weighs 120 tonnes. ✅ Traveled 480km from the port to the site via oversized land transport to Maragle, Bannaby, and Gugga. HumeLink will support Australian homes, businesses, and communities with a more resilient electricity system and mark a major milestone in the nation-critical transmission project. 🔗 Read the full customer success story. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eAAV94Bd: #HitachiEnergy #HitachiEnergyTransformers #ShuntReactors #CustomerStory #PowerGrids #RenewableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Australia

Ten years ago, solar barely registered on Chile's grid. Today it's the country's second-largest power source, right behind hydro. That's a genuine success story — but it created a new problem: what do you do with solar power once the sun sets? This is where Andes Solar II-B comes in. Built by AES Andes with our technology at the core, it stores daytime solar in one of Latin America's largest battery systems and delivers it through the night. We're proud to have been the technology partner behind it. Check out the video to see how it works. #HitachiEnergy #EnergyTransition #RenewableEnergy #Chile #Innovation
