Hallo Alex, ich hatte in Vergangenheit ohne es damals besser zu wissen, meine eigenen Bilder zur Löschung vorgeschlagen, welche auf privatem Grund aufgenommen wurden. I don't think it should depend on how the files are uploaded to Commons. They are uploaded on Ukrainian wiki obviously as own work. So the only issue is NoFoP-Ukraine. A regular DR should be filed and, once deleted, archived in Category:Ukrainian FOP cases/deleted. Die Bearbeitung ist eine Änderung die normalerweise nicht von unerfahrenen Usern gemacht wird aber nicht so einfach von Vandalismus oder versehentlichen schlechten Änderungen unterschieden werden kann. Du bist ja schon länger mit guten Beiträgen dabei und hättest die nötigen Autopatrol Rechte schon lange haben können, die ich dir jetzt gegeben habe. Hi A.Savin. I'm Barkeep49, a Wikipedian and a member of the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). This diff was brought to our attention. I am writing this as an individual and have not discussed this with any other members of the U4C. I come here with two goals. First, the message you removed as harassment was written by the U4C. The goal is to write a neutral message that ensures fairness when someone has been reported. I hope you can recommend some changes we could make to the template so it does not come off as harassment to people who receive it.

My second goal is to make sure you understand what the U4C is and ask you to consider participating because we are new. The U4C is charged with coordinating enforcement of the Universal Code of Conduct across all projects and affiliates. One of our responsibilities is to hear certain kinds of complaints, especially from projects (like Commons) that do not have Arbitration Committees. You can read about our scope and more in the U4C charter. If we accept a case and find violations we have a lot discretion about what to do so I hope you will give us your perspective on the case page. I'm very sorry if it's misunderstood this way, but what I called harassment was IMO clearly referring to what 1989 is doing, not the U4C or anyone else...

Before I'll have to invest lots of my time (which I would otherwise spend for contentual contribution and/or maintenance work; so if that's what 1989 is aiming for, then yes they have succeed for the time being) on defending myself, please help me learn: I'm really new to this U4C process, so because it's a Meta process I guess it's replacement and/or sort of a milder alternative for "Trust+Safety" complaints, is that true?

By now I didn't have proper time to look at really all diffs in the complaint page however from what I can see this is pretty much a more or less random collection of difflinks. Most of that links are several years old (and in my case this also means that most comments in that links are obsolete at the very least, some perhaps indeed too harsh for me as of today, because I think with the years going by I'm learning something new permanently), some are taken out of any context or are attached by accusations that are simply not true (such as "xenophobic"... although VERY few things in the world I hate nearly as much as xenophobia). And all these things are apparently referring to what happened here on Commons, which is a project that has intact complaint possibilities (Admin noticeboard etc.), where there is a real possibility to desysop an admin in abuse cases. So firstly I fail to understand: why on Earth has it to be processed as a cross-wiki abuse by a cross-wiki institution, with all due respect? Is Commons not self-sufficient enough to be able to resolve its cases by the local community consensus and the local admins?

And second I don't understand the following. How can 1989's request be handled seriously without calling it harassment, if there is plenty of evidence that 1989 is by no means neutral towards me, a fact for which their meanwhile legendary "Fuck off" is surely just the tip of an iceberg? Do you find that really allright given the fact that Wikipedia and all sister projects are usually known for strict policies on neutrality?

I mean OK, I would of course understand if 1989 had opened a complaint against me for something that concerns them directly. Like, it's of course my right to complain against someone by whom I'm feeling bashed, harassed, threatened or something... But does this collection of difflinks contain anything really concerning 1989? I'm sorry, but all otherwise looks at best like "snitching" to me...

Given that, the first what I can do is really... please, be wise and reject this utter nonsense. We are all trying to built up Free Knowledge and contrubute content. We need (not only) lots of volunteer's time for that. Please, please, do not let me waste my volunteer's time just because there is a user out there who really hates me for reasons known only to themselves.

Thanks for the reply. I'm happy to answer questions here but the substantive part of this reply (the paragraph that starts with By now through the paragraph that ends with "known only to themselves") should just go to meta as your official reply.

So yes the U4C is new. We are not replacing Trust & Safety. They will continue to handle things like child protection and harassment to the point that it requires a WMF Office Ban. The U4C is a global body charged with coordinating enforcement of the Universal Code of Conduct across projects. For all projects that means we help with things like training and sharing best practices. We also have some role with enforcement. For projects that have local arbcoms this means we do little. For projects without this means we have more of a role to play. I generally want medium/large projects like Commons to do enforcement themselves (I take seriously the coordinating part of the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee) but also think we might have some role to play. Ich war mal so frei habe "Degitalisierung" mal gelöscht. Selbst wenn der Begriff relevant ist, kann die Kategorie in der Form niemals ein Mehrwert für Commons sein. Bei der sich ebenfalls nicht googeln lassenden Wortschöpfung "Bundesglasfaser" habe ich den gleichen Eindruck, dass uns hier jemand schlichtweg an der Nase herumführt, warte aber ggf. noch auf die Stellungnahme des angepingten Nutzers. Ich habe keine Ahnung, warum Ihr beide hier bei Commons aktiv seid. Ich bin hier, um Fotos und Videos zur Verfügung zu stellen, die dann von anderen Menschen verwendet werden können. Zum einen in WMF-Projekten, wie beispielsweise der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia, zum anderen überall sonst, auf Websites, in gedruckten Publikationen, auf eine Kaffeetasse gelasert, oder wo auch immer. Dazu ist es natürlich notwendig, dass diese Medien auch gefunden werden. Leider ist (zumindest) Commons miserabel darin, Bilder zu finden.

Derzeit ist eines der wichtigeren Themen die ePA3.0. Ich halte es für absolut plausibel, dass ein Blog oder eine Zeitschrift wie der Guardian darüber schreibt, und dann einen solchen Artikel, der Fakten verbreitet, der belehrt (also im com:SCOPE ist, vielleicht sogar als wp:EINZELNACHWEIS dienen wird), verfasst, und diesen dann bebildert (weil wir einer Gesellschaft angehören, die das Gegenteil von Ikonoklasmus betreibt und die unpassensten Symbolbilder verwendet, wenn sich nichts geeignetes mit einem geringen Aufwand finden lässt.

Um beim Beispiel ePA3.0 zu bleiben, ein solcher Artikel wird weder um die Person Bianca Kastl, noch um den von Kastl geprägten Begriff Degitalisierung herumkommen. Die deutschsprachige Wikipedia erwähnt beide im Artikel Digitalministerkonferenz, Kastl auch in den Artikeln Luca und elektronische Gesundheitsakte. Der Glasfaserverteilerkasten der gut sichtbar aus dem Kanzleramt, vom Paul-Löbe-Haus und dem Reichstag also drei Gebäuden, in denen die Personen tätig sind, die die Abomination ePA3.0 geschaffen haben, zu sehen ist, ist geradezu das perfekte Symbolbild für die Degitalisierung in Deutschland. Zudem sind die Bilder natürlich auch Bilder von Glasfaserinfratruktur.

Um aber auch in einem Artikel verwendet zu werden, sei es in einem WMF-Projekt, sei es in einem Info-Artikel sonstwo in der weiten Welt, muss ein solches Bild ersteinmal von der Autoren-Person gefunden werden. Das ist über Suchbegriffe möglich, wie Degitaliserung, Bianca Kastl, Bundeskanzleramt, Paul-Löbe-Haus, Reichstag. Aber eher nicht Platz der Republik auch wenn dieser Kasten zufällig am Rande des Platzes der Republik steht. Nützlich für eine Suche ist auch der Zeitpunkt, wann es ein Objekt gab (hier: errichtet 2024, 2025 immer noch vorhanden).

Den Bildern habe ich den Namen Bundesglasfaser gegeben. Ein einprägsamer, kurzer, beschreibender, eindeutiger Name. Und ich halte es für sinnvoll, die im Laufe der Zeit entstandenen und noch entstehenden Bilder in einer Kategorie zusammenzufassen. Wohl gemerkt auch Bilder dieses Kastens, die von anderen stammen und die dem Namensschema folgen oder nicht folgen. Ich halte es auch für sinnvoll, dieser Kategorie den Namen Bundesglasfser zu geben, da derzeit alle darin enthaltenen Dateien diesen Namen tragen. Die Kategorie selber ist in Oberkategorien eingeordnet, wie 2024, 2025, Kanzlermat, Reichstag, Paul-Löbe-Haus, Degitalisierung (wo in der Beschreibung Kastl erwähnt wird, so dass auch Kastl als Suchbegriff zu den Bildern führt) und auch in eine Kategorie für Glasfaserverteilerkästen. Bei dieser Kategorie habe ich möglicherweise danebengegriffen, aber Elektroverteilerkasten ist ziemlich sicher falsch. In diesen Verteilerkasten konnte ich nicht hineinsehen, aber in andere Glasfasterverteilkästen konnte ich hineinsehen und weiß daher, dass diese Dinger eines mit Sicherheit nicht enthalten: Irgendetwas das auch nur entfernt mit elektrischem Strom zu tun hat!

Wie gesagt, ich habe keine Ahnung, warum Ihr hier seid, ich bin hier um Bilder und Video zur Verfügung zu stellen, die dann auch möglichst vielen Menschen zur Verfügung stehen sollen, damit sie entscheiden können, ob sie eines davon nutzen möchten. Und dafür ist es nötig, dass diese Bilder auch auffindbar sind und zwar mit Suchbegriffen, die auch etwas mit dem Inhalt der Bilder zu tun haben. A request regarding a Commons administrator was submitted to the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C), you can read the the full request here. The U4C has passed the following motion 7-0 (with 1 member inactive):

The case request is suspended for 6 months to allow the Commons community time to incorporate the UCOC into its practices/procedures (e.g. desysop). Following unsuspension the U4C will consider how to further proceed (accept the case, pass a further motion, or decline the case). All editors who have commented on the case will be notified when the case is unsuspended.

"General Staff" refers to an old establishment of Turkish army & governmental body. Today, it's replaced with the Ministry of National Defence of Turkey. As I wrote on the admin board I also think the block is totally unjustified. The last edit by A.Savin in the edit war was [5] at 15:49, 17 February 2025. The block today was nearly three days later. You are right that an earlier block would have been better. It's a very extensive edit war with 10 reverts by A.Savin (and 11 by Hjart) in Category:Bornholm_rundt alone. Ich tue alles hier nach meinem besten Wissen und Gewissen. Ich bin offensichtlich nicht derjenige, der Kategorien zur Insel Bornholm für sein Privateigentum hält. Ich wollte die paar Kategorien nur etwas aufräumen, logisch übergeordnete Kategorien hinzufügen und Über-Kategorisierung beseitigen. Hjart verhält sich dort aber wie Türsteher, toleriert andere Meinung nicht und ich habe es längst aufgegeben mit Versuchen, gegen ihn zu editieren bzw. mit ihm zu diskutieren. Dass ich jetzt als Strafe dafür, dass ich Vandalismus beseitige, auch noch einen administrativen Arschtritt kassiere, und zwar dann wenn "mich zu stoppen" gar nicht mehr nötig wäre, das ist dann schon ein krasser Fall von Täter-Opfer-Umkehr. Ich werde ohnehin schon seit Jahren hier von einer einflussreichen Clique gemobbt und jetzt auch noch das hier? Ich hatte ein paar Stunden frei und wollte meine Fotos von Bornholm hochladen - durch die Sperre wurde dies jedoch verhindert - wem wurde damit geholfen im Sinne des Aufbaus einer freien Mediendatenbank? --A.Savin 14:35, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dass wir immer mal aneinander geraten, gefällt mir natürlich nicht. Ich betone, dass unser Aneinandergeraten trotz meiner langen Arbeit bei Wikipedia eine Ausnahme ist. Obwohl ich eigentlich immer geprüft habe wohin die Orte gehören, unterlief mir der Irrtum, Neustadt Dosse mit Neustadt Glewe zu verwechseln. Kann vorkommen, sollte aber nicht. Gewollter Vandalismus ist das sicher nicht, auch keine beabsichtigte Ärgerinitiative gegen Dich. Was die Kategorie Mecklenburg-Vorpommern betrifft, so wurde diese gelöscht, ich denke deren Katalogisierung war ausreichend, kann das aber nicht mehr nachprüfen. Außerdem gehe ich davon aus, dass die gelöschte Kategorie bald wieder neu installiert werden muss. Dabei können wie immer Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Landschaftsschutzgebiete und Naturdenkmäler oder andere Schutzgebiete fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Der Wettbewerb ist zweigeteilt, das heißt, wir unterscheiden zwischen den beiden Wettbewerbskategorien Landschaft und Detail/Makro. Zur Wettbewerbskategorie Landschaft zählen auch geschützte Einzelbäume. In der Wettbewerbskategorie Detail/Makro werden Pflanzen, Tiere und Pilze in den Schutzgebieten bewertet.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben als Naturdenkmal geschützten alten Bäumen oder den großen Nationalparks der Mittelgebirge und am Meer können auch kleine städtische Landschaftsschutzgebiete dokumentiert werden. Zu über 16.000 Naturdenkmalen und mehreren tausend Schutzgebieten haben wir noch keine Fotos. Wo noch Fotos fehlen, kannst du über die Karte oder die umfangreichen Listen in Wikipedia herausfinden.

In diesem Jahr wollen wir auch einen Fokus auf Geotope, wie Findlinge, Quellen oder Aufschlüsse, legen. Hierfür gibt es drei Sonderpreise zum Thema Geodiversität.

Damit es ab 1. Mai mit dem Upload schnell geht:

Außerdem laden wir dich ein, vom 15. Mai bis voraussichtlich Ende Juli an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Damit bewertest du die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelst so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die Ende August tagen wird, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Earth 2025 in Deutschland.
