Currently the "Active" tab is almost completely filled with very old questions like this one bumped by the community bot.

ML is evolving very fast and both the questions and answers quickly become outdated.

enter image description here

It is boring to see these questions and it is difficult to see the value in trying to re-answer them. If someone is actually searching and clicking on these questions, the questions can be bumped. The community bot's independent activity that results in questions getting into the active tab should be minimal / significantly reduced in datascience.SE.

$\begingroup$ Catija outlines the rules for bumping here. It appears we can request a limit to the density of bumps on the home page. I ran the SEDE query provided there: today, we have 3137 questions eligible for bumping. $\endgroup$ Commented Feb 9, 2025 at 16:02
  • $\begingroup$ I don't see that your example question was bumped; did you link the wrong one, or am I missing something? $\endgroup$ Commented Feb 9, 2025 at 16:04
  • $\begingroup$ Well I definitely found it in my Active tab with a similar "Community Bot" modification info as for the other questions in the screenshot. $\endgroup$ Commented Feb 10, 2025 at 17:35
