Running SSRS on SQL 2017 (fully patched) with all services on a dedicated SQL Server. The ReportServerTempDB is hundreds of gigabytes, while the ReportServer database is only a few gigabytes. All the space is used in dbo.SessionData with records going back over a year. Learn.Microsoft.com doesn't have a page for this table, and a general search only yields vague references. I'm looking for insight into the process that is supposed to trim the Session Data. My initial plan is to:
Stop the report service
Backup the database
Truncate the table
Smoke test the system
If anyone else has resolved this issue, I'd appreciate guidance.
