About Done Bear

I liked Things 3. I wanted to share it, open it anywhere, and let an agent run it. Done Bear is that list on web, Windows, Linux, Mac, and iPhone.

How it works

Capture tasks in your Inbox, then move them to Today, Upcoming, Anytime, or Someday. Add labels when they help. That’s it.

Works offline

Your tasks live on your device first. Everything works without an internet connection and syncs automatically when you’re back online.

Everywhere you work

There is a web app, a desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux, and a native iOS app. All of them run on the same sync engine, so a task you capture on your phone is on your laptop before you get there. If you live in the terminal there is a CLI, and if you live in Raycast there is an extension for that too.

Your AI can use it

Done Bear has a hosted MCP server and a GraphQL API, so assistants like Claude and ChatGPT can read, create, and complete tasks on your real list rather than a copy of it. That means you can ask an assistant to triage your inbox or plan your day and have the result show up everywhere else. See the automation overview for what that looks like in practice.

Pricing

Done Bear is free forever for solo use and small teams. Paid plans start at $7/month per member, billed yearly, for teams that need unlimited tasks, more teams, and priority support. See the pricing page for details.

Why I built it

I’m Matthew Blode, based in Melbourne, Australia, and I build Done Bear on my own.

I started it in January 2026 because I liked Things 3 and wanted more from it: a list I could share, open on any machine, and hand to an agent. Things is one person on Apple. Done Bear is the same calm list without that wall.

The iOS app shipped on 6 August 2026. The rules I hold it to: it opens instantly with no connection, the same list works everywhere, and an AI assistant can run the real list rather than a copy of it. I care about building software that respects your time and your data.
