I think this introduction would be confusing and information-poor for someone not familiar with the topic. IMHO, it would be better to focus on JavaScript, and give a history of it, and leave it's relationship to HTML and the DOM to the end of the introduction. Yes, the most common use of JavaScript is to script web pages, and but that is a seperate discussion to the language itself. First you learn what the languasge is and how it works, then you learn to apply it to specific applications (such as client-side web page scripting). Comments? 202.180.255.80 03:58, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, it does seem a little odd. Especially since it says in the introduction itself, "there is almost no relation between the two languages." Maybe the general catagory, "Programming" would be better, or create a new subcategory under Programming, for "JavaScript."--Dbolton 19:56, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
