The result of the move request was: malformed since the move target is currently an article as well. Not even considering that 9 (disambiguation) is currently not a redirect, I'm going to go ahead and close this early and not was editor time since the nominator did not state what should be done with 9 after this proposed move, meaning the default stance of that it would remain pointing towards 9 (disambiguation), which is a WP:DABNAME violation. Restoration and improvement

seem to be in order. There was better organization and additional valid points about cultural use at (e.g.) this version of the page from 2020. Religious and cultural use both fall under cultural use, especially with the current truncated versions. There are additional important cultural points that should be added, particularly the Luoshu Square and typical Chinese reckoning of the five or nine directions, counting the four or eight points of the compass plus the cent(er|re).

Most importantly, the page needs a section (new or restored) covering the Unicode code points that deal with 9. Even if you leave out similar glyphs like waw that technically have no relation, there are certainly a few other forms of the number like the small superscript ⁹ and small subscript ₉. We should have all the forms (see e.g. this Wikt. category most of our users wouldn't know how to look for) collected and listed here. — LlywelynII 05:11, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
