Template:Speciesbox/parameterCheck
This template supports {{Speciesbox}} and is only intended for use within that template. It checks whether the taxobox parameters that should specify the species are given correctly, and puts the article with the taxobox in a tracking category if not.
- Category:Speciesboxes with incorrect parameters specifying the taxon is used unless
taxonis present, or bothgenusandspeciesare present (and not any other combination). - Category:Speciesboxes relying on page title is used if none of
taxon,genusandspeciesis present.
If these taxobox parameters given correctly, it uses {{Speciesbox/checkgenus}} to check that genus refers to a taxonomy template whose rank is "genus".
