As a kid raised by internet forums, I was obsessed with customizing my signatures and “about me” sections on personal profiles using BBCode (you can add [img]cool-images.png[/img] and [b]bold text[/b]!). I loved how constrained the environment was and attempted to squeeze as much expression and personality into it as possible. I used these gradient generator tools to add awesome colors, threw in these weird cursive 𝒰𝓃𝒾𝒸𝑜𝒹𝑒 𝒸𝒽𝒶𝓇𝒶𝒸𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓈, and made perfectly dimensioned GIF art with Ezgif. As such, the web is still my favorite design medium today.

Although I ended up studying data science for my undergraduate, as a childhood dream of mine I wanted to design on the internet. To that end, I work as a design engineer! I’m currently a full-timer at OtterSec, a security auditing firm in the Web3 space. I feel incredibly privileged and lucky to be able to express myself creatively for a living.

You might notice that the majority of my work pertains to cybersecurity in some aspect. I am heavily involved in the capture-the-flag community, where I organize events and occasionally author challenges for Project Sekai CTF and the Friendly Maltese Citizens. Outside of my profession, music is a huge part of my life. I love discovering new albums, attending concerts, writing arrangements, and practicing on my beloved electric and classical guitars—I own a Schecter Omen-6 Extreme FR LH and a Cordoba C5 Lefty (yes, I’m a lefty ꃋᴖꃋ). You’ll also often see me frequent the video arcade after work to play rhythm games (I mainly play maimai and have been recently learning In the Groove, similar to DDR).

If we happen to be in the same place, I’m always down to grab coffee or say hi. Although I was born and raised in Los Angeles (and you’re most likely to find me there), I’m occasionally around San Diego, San Francisco, and New York City.
