🚀 We’re proud to mark another important milestone in our capital distribution strategy. We have successfully completed our €500 million share buyback programme announced in August 2026. The programme, our first funded from current-year net profit, follows the completion of the previously announced €1.0 billion programme and reflects our commitment to maintaining strict capital discipline while delivering sustainable shareholder returns. Together, the two programmes bring our aggregate share buyback activity in 2026 to €1.5 billion, up from €1.0 billion in 2025. We target a payout ratio of 60% of net profit attributable to Deutsche Bank shareholders from 2026, through a combination of dividends and share buybacks, with further scope for distributions of excess capital where our CET1 capital ratio sustainably exceeds 14%. ➡️ Learn more about our share repurchase programmes: https://lnkd.in/dmeWXDvb.

  • 🕰️ Timeless Treasures: our first steps beyond Germany What do Yokohama, Shanghai, London, Buenos Aires, Tianjin and Calcutta have in common? They were among Deutsche Bank's first international branches, established in the decades following the bank's founding in 1870 and reflecting its ambition to support trade and finance across continents. 🌍 The journey began in Yokohama and Shanghai (1872), just two years after Deutsche Bank was founded. London followed in 1873, strengthening connections to one of the world's leading financial centres. As international trade expanded, Deutsche Bank extended its global presence in Buenos Aires (1887), Tianjin (1890) and Calcutta (1896). These locations were more than just offices. They connected businesses, facilitated international commerce and helped build relationships between Europe, Asia and South America at a time when global trade was rapidly transforming economies. Looking back at these milestones reminds us that international thinking has been part of Deutsche Bank's identity from the very beginning. The global institution we know today has its roots in a network that started taking shape more than 150 years ago. 📸 Click through the images to explore our earliest international branches.

  • Is this Europe’s moment? The international business leaders we spoke to seem to think so. At a time of hot debate over Europe’s economic competitiveness, we asked 1,200 senior business decision-makers across 13 non-European markets: ❔ How do you view Europe as an investment destination? Their answer was clear: 90% place Europe among their top three global investment regions 81% say Europe has become much or somewhat more important to their investment decisions over the last three years 74% see growth opportunities as a strong or moderate advantage 71% view Europe as resilient in times of economic and geopolitical uncertainty 📊 The survey also highlights areas that need more work, from processes and energy costs to market fragmentation and AI readiness. Taken together, the findings point to a clear opportunity: Europe needs to turn confidence into action.

🎉 Congratulations to four of our colleagues who have been named to the INvolve Heroes Role Model Lists 2026. These global recognitions celebrate leaders who are helping to create more inclusive workplaces, expand opportunities for others and drive meaningful change. Joy Adams, Chief Operating Officer for Digital Assets Transformation, has led large-scale transformation initiatives spanning technology, information security and organisational change. Her work includes a global awareness campaign reaching around 12,000 colleagues and supporting a major cloud transformation involving more than 500 stakeholders. Beyond Deutsche Bank, Joy is a Patron of both the Serpentine Galleries and the Victoria and Albert Museum, reflecting her commitment to supporting culture, creativity and inclusion. Arati Tapase, Senior Finance leader and Head of dbGO India, our employee resource group focused on gender inclusion, has helped broaden ownership of inclusion across the organisation by engaging men as allies and encouraging shared accountability. She has expanded Lean In Circles, strengthened support for returning and single parents, and helped grow the Finance Inclusion Carnival from a regional initiative into a global annual event. Through collaboration across Inclusion, HR and CSR, she has also helped advance practical support for colleagues, including daycare and IVF benefits. Alexandria Chong, Director in FIC Relationship Management and Co-Chair of Women on Wall Street, our employee resource group focused on gender inclusion, has strengthened connections, visibility and opportunities for women across Deutsche Bank and the wider financial services industry. Through programmes focused on recruiting, client engagement, intersectionality and career growth, she has fostered meaningful dialogue and brought senior leaders into the conversation. This marks Alex’s third consecutive year being recognised on the INvolve Heroes Future Leaders List. Mariana Sperini de Lima, who works in Third Party Risk Management, co-leads the #iaminclusive global volunteer community of more than 80 facilitators. Through conversations on allyship, unconscious bias, intersectionality and intercultural communication, the initiative has reached more than 800 colleagues. Drawing on her own experience relocating from Brazil to Germany, Mariana is passionate about creating a culture where colleagues feel a strong sense of belonging and can bring their authentic selves to work. 👏 Congratulations to Arati, Alex, Mariana and Joy on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for the impact you continue to make in helping create a more inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

  • 🌍 What if how the world sees Europe is different to how Europe sees itself? While the debate within Europe often focuses on challenges, international businesses see significant opportunity. 📊 We surveyed 1,200 senior decision-makers across the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions whose companies already invest in Europe or plan to do so. The findings challenge several common assumptions about Europe’s attractiveness. Over the coming weeks, we’ll share how those surveyed view Europe’s attractiveness, innovation potential, resilience and future growth prospects. 💡 One stat to kick things off: 81% say Europe has become much or somewhat more important to their investment decisions over the last three years. Stay tuned for more!
