What the free plugin does, and what Pro adds
No limits, and no clock
The free plugin does not count anything. There is no cap on active events, no monthly booking allowance, no trial that expires. What it runs, it runs for as long as you keep it.
What separates it from the paid plugin is features, not quantity.
What the free plugin already does
Not a trial. It runs a real small operation with real money:
- Events with a start and end, capacity, categories, cover image and gallery
- Ticket types with prices, sale windows and per-order limits
- Several ticket types in one booking
- Offline payments — cash, transfer, card terminal — recorded by hand
- Deposits, paid by bank transfer, with the amount still due in your messages
- Check-in by scanning or typing a code, or from the door list by name, and a running count of who is inside
- Customers, venues and staff
- Workflow: automatic email on fifteen kinds of event, with before and after offsets and filters
- The appearance editor: colours and sizes applied to every booking form
- Booking shortcodes, and an international phone field
- Booking somebody in yourself, from the desk, with the money taken and a discount of your own recorded as you save
- Copying a ticket type in one click
- CSV export of bookings and attendees, exactly as filtered
- Online events with a joining link shown only to ticket holders
One thing to know before you plan around it: on the free plugin an event is held on a single date, set under Details. A series of nights is what the paid plugin adds first.
What Pro adds
| Repeating dates | Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly rules make the dates; each one can have its own name, start time, venue and capacity, keeps its own attendee list, and can be called off without touching the rest |
| Courses and passes | One booking for several dates: the whole course, a weekend pass, any four sessions, or the dates the customer ticks |
| Packages | Several tickets at one price, a family ticket or a table of six, without counting the room twice |
| Per-date prices | Charge more for the night with the guest, leave the rest alone |
| Halls | Draw the room once — rows, tables, a stage — and sell the chair rather than the number |
| Card payments | Stripe, PayPal and WooCommerce, into your own accounts, deposits included |
| PDF tickets | From a template you design, with a QR code per seat, and scanning at the door |
| Discount codes | Percent or fixed, limited by date, by uses, by ticket type |
| Taxes | Percent or fixed, per event, category or location |
| Invoices | Numbered PDFs from a series of your own, with their own templates |
| Custom forms | Extra questions, asked once per booking or once per attendee |
| Waiting list | When a date or a course sells out, the form becomes a queue, and a place that comes free is held for the next in line |
| Customer panel | Customers sign in and see all their bookings, with no code to type |
| Zoom | A meeting created automatically for every date |
| More channels | Webhooks, Telegram, SMS and WhatsApp for the same workflows |
| Custom CSS | Your own rules on top of the appearance editor |
Which plan has what
Pro is sold as three plans, and each one includes the one before it.
- Starter: repeating dates, courses and passes, packages, Stripe and PayPal, PDF tickets, discount codes, taxes, custom forms, webhooks and custom CSS.
- Pro adds per-date prices, extras, invoices, the waiting list, the customer panel and Zoom.
- Elite adds halls and seat maps, permissions, WooCommerce, Telegram, SMS and WhatsApp.
Moving up
Install Pro next to the free plugin and activate it. Nothing migrates and nothing is rewritten: your events, bookings, customers and money stay exactly as they are, and the new entries appear in the menus.
Turning Pro off again leaves all of that in place too. What stops is the Pro features themselves — seat maps stop being drawn, card gateways stop being offered, and an event goes back to holding a single date.
