  • 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲?! 🤯 A beautiful meeting room. A customer willing to pay. And a hotel that had absolutely no idea how to sell it. I’m currently in Miami and needed a private meeting room for 90 minutes. I found this beautiful space inside my hotel. Great design, comfortable chairs, natural light. Exactly what I needed. So I went to reception and asked if I could book it. The response genuinely surprised me. They didn’t know how to book it. They weren’t even sure how it was managed. Eventually, they just said: “Just take it. Nobody ever uses it anyway.” Of course, I was happy. Who doesn’t like a free meeting room? But here’s the crazy part. 𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 $𝟭𝟬𝟬–𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝟵𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀. No negotiation. No discount. Just a convenient space to get a 1-1 meeting done privately. Instead, the hotel made $0. And here’s what makes this even more frustrating. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗤𝗥 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿. Imagine this: 📱 Scan the QR code. 📅 See real-time availability and book the room. 💳 Pay instantly with Apple Pay or Google Pay. 🚪 Get access to the room. Done. No reception. No phone calls. No manual processes. No additional workload for the hotel. I would have done exactly that. On the spot. The hotel already had the space. The demand was standing right in front of them. And the technology exists today. In fact, the hotel was using a property management system that we already integrate with. This is something I keep noticing when comparing Europe and the US. In Europe, meeting spaces are increasingly treated as revenue-generating inventory. In many US hotels, they’re still primarily seen as amenities supporting bedroom sales. But meeting rooms don’t need to be just another cost center. 𝗔𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. 𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. Think about how many hotels have spaces like this sitting empty every day. How many customers would happily pay if booking was as easy as ordering an Uber? And how much revenue is being lost simply because nobody has made these spaces bookable? Hotels have spent decades optimizing revenue per available room (RevPAR). 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿. Because today, this hotel had a customer ready to pay $150. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 $𝟬. Ps. Team MeetingPackage we have a lot of work to do. The demand is real, the problem is real and the solution exists. One hotel and chain at a time. #Hospitality #HotelTechnology #MeetingsAndEvents #RevenueManagement

  • Here’s an awkward truth: a lot of five-star venues send their proposals on a one-size-fits-all template. Stunning property. Generic document. First impression, slightly undercut. We just gave eProposal a second way to show up: Luxury. It opens on your own property photography, your logo, your brand colors, not a fixed layout. You decide what leads: the host’s note, the property story, the program, whatever tells your story best. Guest and billing details can sit inline or tucked into a sidebar, your call. Underneath, it’s the same eProposal your team already knows. One link. Legally binding eSignature. Automatic follow-up. 12 languages. Same booking data, same price, no extra steps for your sales team. Switching the template only changes how it looks to the client, not how it works for you. Your proposal should look like your property. If you run a boutique or upscale venue, this one’s for you. Reach out to your MeetingPackage contact to see Luxury on your own proposals.

  • Why join MeetingPackage? Not because we have a long list of perks or because we’ll tell you we’re “not like any other companies.” The real reasons are in the work. There’s a big industry problem still waiting to be solved. You’ll have real ownership in solving it, work with technology that has a clear purpose and grow alongside a company that’s still building what comes next. And you can do it with a global team, from wherever you work best. Here are five reasons worth knowing before you decide if we’re the right place for you 👇

  • Joonas Ahola and Markku Pajarinen are heading to Miami Beach for The Hospitality Show, 2-4 November. The show brings hoteliers, suppliers and buyers together under one roof, which makes it a good place to talk about how hotels can win more meeting and event business. MeetingPackage sells hotel meeting and event packages, and we want to hear what is working for your property and what is not. We'll be on the ground all three days. Want to meet? Book a time or send us a DM. Event link in the comments. #TheHospitalityShow #HotelMeetings #MICE #HotelSales #Miami

  • Your front desk clock says two hours. The planner’s stopwatch says sixty-five. Same enquiry. A guest meeting planner sends an RFP on Friday at 17:30. Your team replies Monday at 11:00. Your log shows a tidy two-hour response, because it pauses for nights and weekends. The planner never paused her clock. She waited 65 hours, while three other hotels sat in the same inbox. That gap is the whole story, and the numbers back it up: M1 Intel data shows hotels replying inside four hours see win rates 20 to 30 points higher than same-day or next-day responders. Knowland puts hospitality RFP win rates at just 5 to 7%, against 44% across industries generally. Groups360 found the average hotel answers less than half its RFPs at all. One hotel group told us it plainly: “If they don’t get that experience, they drop off.” So the real metric isn’t how fast your team felt. It’s how many elapsed hours, nights and weekends included, the buyer sat waiting before someone else answered first. We built our AI Email Agent because of this exact gap, cutting that processing time from up to an hour down to seconds. Speed stopped being a service metric a while ago. It’s a win-rate metric now. How is your team actually measuring response time today? Business hours, or the clock your buyer is staring at? P.S. Full breakdown and how to split weekday vs. weekend response in the comments. #HotelSales #GroupsMeetingsEvents

  • Cvent Connect Europe takes over InterContinental London - The O2 on 21-22 October, and four of us from MeetingPackage will be there: Tommi Mannonen, Andrea Fiumana, Mélody Grelat and Joonas Ahola. Hotel teams and planners keep telling us the same thing: group business moves at the speed of the slowest handover. A request arrives, details get retyped between systems, and the proposal lands after the client has moved on. MeetingPackage is the AI-enhanced Operating System for Groups, Meetings & Events. One platform from first enquiry to signed proposal, across every property in your portfolio. Heading to London this week? Grab a slot using the link in comments. #CventConnect #GroupsMeetingsEvents #HotelTech #MICE

  • Corporate planners move fast when they’re sourcing a venue. Hotels don’t always get the chance to move with them. We’re expanding our distribution with a new channel partner, Groupize. Their AI agent, aime, sources venues and sends RFPs on the planner’s behalf. On our side, Instant Quote turns those enquiries into priced, branded proposals in minutes, built from the hotel’s own availability, rates and rules. Less admin. Fewer missed enquiries. More of your team’s time going toward the requests that actually need a human touch. Read the full story on our blog: https://hubs.ly/Q04Bg0qS0 “Hotels need to be visible where corporate buyers are looking, and able to respond quickly when an enquiry arrives,” says Tania Sidokpohou, Partnerships Director at MeetingPackage.

  • Most hotel sales teams don't lose Groups, Meetings & Events business because of price. They lose it in the gap between the enquiry and the proposal: slow replies, PDF attachments, an inbox nobody owns. We are in Miami Beach talking about exactly that, at two events that sit on opposite sides of the problem. 27-28 October, WTE Miami: Joonas Ahola is visiting to meet the travel trade, the advisors and agencies who send the enquiries hotels are racing to answer. 2-4 November, The Hospitality Show: He joins to meet the owners, operators and technology leaders who have to turn those enquiries into revenue. If you run Groups, Meetings & Events for a hotel group, or you build the technology around it, send us a message and tell us when you are in town.

  • WTM London lands at ExCeL on 3-5 November, and Janne Kivilahti will be there. Here is a question we keep hearing from hotel groups: why does a meeting room enquiry still take hours to turn into a proposal? Someone chases the details by email, someone else types them into a second system, and the client has already called your competitor. MeetingPackage is the AI-enhanced Operating System for Groups, Meetings & Events. It takes your team from the first enquiry to a signed proposal in one platform, across every property in your portfolio. That means online booking, interactive proposals, distribution and reporting, built for Groups, Meetings & Events rather than adapted from room bookings. If you run Groups, Meetings & Events for a hotel group or chain and want to see what faster looks like, find Janne at WTM. Coffee is on the list, and so are honest answers.
