A team of ten or more. Endless iterations. This time, it is totally different. Faster. Clearer. Almost… inevitable. What we designed is already coming to life. Agents and subagents are not just words anymore. They are implementing it as we speak. Tomorrow morning, we’ll put it in front of our first customers in MEA. And that’s the part that still feels surreal. A year ago, this level of execution speed simply did not exist. Now it’s a handful of Sulava MEA MVPs, brilliant Microsoft minds like Aman Bhandari, and AI working together in real time. This might be one of the coolest things I’ve ever been part of. Frontier Firm Live just jumped to the next level. The agentic era is not coming. It’s already here.

These can be built with both Copilot Studio and Microsoft foundry. This is, of course, included in our Frontier Firm Live agent & digital workforce factory.

Aki Antman jakoi tämänAsking for opinions from a large group used to be surprisingly hard. A Teams poll would go unnoticed. Email is of course out of the question. There is no tool for every need. And sending a Teams message to everyone via a traditional Copilot agent would simply flood my Teams. Enter digital workers. Smooth Yoda just sent a simple 1:1 Teams message to all Sulava MEA employees. Almost 100 people. Each person replies when it suits them. Yoda collects the replies automatically. I have real time visibility the whole time. No channels were flooded. No one was interrupted. No one felt spammed. Just a quick reply to a digital worker in Teams and optional extra context if someone wanted to add more. This was practically impossible before. Now it is instant. With Frontier Firm Live and Microsoft Agent 365, you can start doing this today. And you definitely should. Just ping me.

No more jumping between calendars or guessing when someone might be free — Copilot can help you spot suitable times much faster. This might sound small, but in daily work it’s a big time-saver. Planning meetings, quick catch-ups, or even a coffee break becomes smoother and less frustrating. I am starting this series to discuss not only what Copilot Cowork is, but also how it is designed behind the scenes. 📌 What is Copilot Cowork? Copilot Cowork moves Copilot beyond answering questions or drafting content and enables it to take real actions and complete work on a user’s behalf across Microsoft 365. Copilot Cowork allows users to delegate tasks by describing the desired outcome. It then automatically grounds the request in the user’s work context such as: emails, meetings, messages, files, and data across tools like Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Excel. Powered by Work IQ, Cowork receives user request, analyzes signals across Microsoft 365 to understand the user’s work environment and create a task execution plan. Copilot Cowork executes the plan in a secure cloud sandbox environment, allowing Copilot Cowork to run code, access files, and invoke skills. Users remain in control through checkpoints that let them review progress, approve actions, request modifications, or pause the task. 📌 How is Copilot Cowork Architected? (According to my understanding) This how I think Copilot Cowork is designed & works behind the scenes: 1️⃣ Client Side: The Cowork Agent engages in bidirectional communication through OD4B (Check your Documents > Cowork folder), which functions as the file input/output layer. 2️⃣ Cowork Backend: The core backend consists of two main components: ✨ Cowork Agent Harness: The orchestration brain, handling sessions management, task planning, built-in tools, subagents, MCP integration, and skills management. ✨ Cloud Sandbox: The execution environment where Cowork runs: executing code, accessing files, and invoking skills. These two components interact with each other and connect to three categories of external resources on the right: ✨ Anthropic Models: The AI models powering the agent's reasoning. ✨ 1P Tools / MCP Servers / Skills: First-party Microsoft tools and integrations. ✨ 3P Tools / MCP Servers / Skills: Third-party tools and integrations. 💡 Is Copilot Cowork using the Claude Agent SDK for Agent Harness? (According to my understanding) Although Microsoft has not confirmed this, initial work with Copilot Cowork and analysis of its reasoning and underlying tools suggest that it uses the Claude Agent SDK to implement the Agent Harness component. However, I cannot confirm anything until the Copilot Cowork team provides more information about this, if they choose to do so. This is just the beginning of my Copilot Cowork journey. In the next posts, I’ll go deeper into how Cowork actually plan, reason, and execute work, and what this shift means for work productivity, 3P extensibility, enterprise governance, and more!
