Jeff Bezos-owned Blue Origin Rocket Explodes During Test

A rocket made by Jeff Bezos’ company, Blue Origin, exploded on its launch pad during an engine test in Florida. In a statement on social media, Blue Origin said the ‘New Glenn’ rocket had “experienced an anomaly” during the hotfire test. Bezos, the founder of the space technology company, shared in a post on X that all his employees were “accounted for" and had not sustained injuries. The explosion is the latest setback for the company, with the New Glenn rocket at the heart of its space ambitions. The 322 ft rocket had been due to launch 48 satellites for Amazon’s Leo broadband network in early June. In a post on X, Bezos wrote that the company plans to “rebuild whatever needs rebuilding and get back to flying,” adding: “It’s worth it.” The setback comes just days after NASA announced the first three missions of the agency’s plans to build a lunar base at the Moon’s south pole. The blast, which tore through the launchpad at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, has caused extensive damage to the facility. The space complex in which the explosion took place is the only one in the world built to launch the New Glenn rocket, halting further attempts until it is rebuilt.

Netanyahu Orders IDF To Seize 70% Of Gaza

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he instructed the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) to increase control of Gaza to 70%. Speaking at a conference, Netanyahu said the IDF currently "controls 60% of the territory of the Strip,” adding that he wants to “move to” 70%. The prime minister’s statement comes as Israel continues strikes on Gaza despite their US-brokered ceasefire led by President Donald Trump. Under the ceasefire agreement, Israeli forces were to pull back behind the so-called “yellow line,” a demarcation line that gave Israel control of 53% of the occupied territory. At least 738 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began in October 2025, according to a Palestinian health ministry. The next phase in the 20-point peace proposal would see Hamas’s disarmament and the gradual withdrawal of the Israeli army; however, talks between the two sides have been stalled. In a post on X, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz wrote of a so-called "voluntary migration” of Palestinians from Gaza, a plan that has been mentioned by other Israeli officials. Katz said the so-called migration, which could amount to the forced displacement of civilians, would be implemented “at the proper time and in the proper manner.”

But what has the cast been up to since leaving San Francisco? Bob Saget, who played widowed dad Danny Tanner, stayed busy in both television and comedy after the show ended. He appeared in series including ‘Raising Dad,’ ‘Entourage,’ and ‘Grandfathered,’ while also serving as the voice of future Ted Mosby throughout the entire run of ‘How I Met Your Mother.’ Alongside acting, Saget continued performing stand-up and released several books. Tragically, the beloved comedian passed away at the age of 65 in January 2022, after suffering accidental head trauma while on a stand-up tour in Florida. John Stamos, known to fans as Uncle Jesse, built a steady television career after ‘Full House,’ most notably with a major role on ‘ER.’ He later appeared in shows like ‘Glee,’ ‘Scream Queens,’ ‘You,’ and ‘Big Shot.’ In 2023, Stamos released his memoir ‘If You Would Have Told Me’ and more recently reunited with The Beach Boys as a guest musician for select tour dates in 2025. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen became major stars following their time as Michelle Tanner. The twins headlined a string of successful direct-to-video movies, launched additional TV projects, and eventually began running their own entertainment company, Dualstar. Over time, both stepped away from acting and focused on fashion, where they now run the luxury label ‘The Row.’ Candace Cameron Bure, who played DJ Tanner, balanced acting with family life after marrying hockey player Valeri Bure in 1996. She later returned to television with projects including ‘Make It or Break It,’ ‘The View,’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ before reprising her role in the Netflix sequel series ‘Fuller House.’

Why Is Trump's DOJ Investigating E. Jean Carroll?

The US Justice Department has launched a criminal investigation into E. Jean Carroll’s lawsuits over allegations of sexual abuse by President Donald Trump. The criminal inquiry is focused on a trust founded by LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, whose nonprofit assisted in paying some of Carroll’s legal fees, according to CNN. The allegations under investigation are possible money laundering, obstruction and conspiracy, along with questions over whether Carroll committed perjury in her testimony. The former magazine writer accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in a New York department store in the mid-1990s. In 2023, Carroll was awarded $5 million in damages by a jury that found Trump liable for sexually abusing her. The following year, Carroll won a further $83 million civil judgement in a defamation case involving the president. Trump has repeatedly denied the allegations, claiming that he did not even know Carroll. He is now seeking Supreme Court intervention in both cases. The latest investigation will look into comments Carroll made about how her case against Trump was funded. When asked in 2022 if she was covering her own legal fees Carroll responded "no," but she later admitted that she knew a nonprofit was offsetting "certain expenses and legal fees." Trump’s lawyers argued that Hoffman’s funding showed Carroll’s case was politically motivated, and pushed for the verdict to be thrown out.

However, there have been some legendary players who have never won the World Cup. Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo is considered by many one of the greatest players ever, but despite featuring in five World Cups, he has never won the competition. Johan Cruyff revolutionised the game as a player and as a coach; however, the Dutchman was unable to capture a World Cup. Ferenc Puskás scored over 600 goals across his career but failed to win the competition despite making the final with Hungary in 1954. Similarly, Eusebio, another prolific goalscorer, was unable to win a World Cup but led Portugal to a third-place finish in 1966. Three-time Ballon d’Or winner Michel Platini played at three World Cups for France, making the semifinals twice but never reaching the final. Roberto Baggio seemed destined to lead Italy to a World Cup in 1994; however, he would miss the deciding penalty in the final against Brazil. David Beckham played in three World Cups for England but never won the prestigious trophy and famously was sent off in the quarter-final in 1998.

Multiple Artists Drop Out Of Trump's Freedom 250 Concerts.

Several artists who were scheduled to perform at the Great American State Fair, an event tied to US President Donald Trump’s America 250 celebrations, have withdrawn. Freedom 250 had recently announced the initial lineup for the concert series, which is set to take place at the National Mall in Washington DC from June 25 to July 10. Morris Day clarified in a post on his official Facebook page that he won't be appearing at the event, writing, "It's A No For Me." The Commodores also withdrew the day after the lineup announcement. “We choose not to publicly affiliate with any single political party,” the group said in a social media post. Country singer Martina McBride said in a post on X that she has also withdrawn from the event, explaining that she believed it was non-partisan, but has since discovered “that was misleading.” McBride said she “asked lots of questions” and was assured the celebration would include “ALL 50 states” before plans allegedly changed. Bret Michaels also declined to perform, writing on Instagram that the event has become “much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of.” Michaels also raised concerns “regarding the safety” of people connected to his performance, citing violent threats against him, his team and their fans. Vanilla Ice’s management agency confirmed that he still plans to perform, while Flo Rida and C+C Music Factory are still scheduled to appear.
