We started Hale because we believe everyone should have access to cutting-edge preventive heart care. Heart disease impacts almost all of us in some way. ➡️ 900K lose their life to heart disease each year in the US ➡️ Roughly 30% reading this post will already have plaque build up in their arteries* ➡️ $400B is the total annual economic burden in the US (estimated to reach $1.3T in 2030) I started my career at Uber, where I saw firsthand how technology can transform entire industries and fundamentally change the consumer experience. I think we are in the same very early innings in healthcare and right now feels like a unique inflection point of consumer agency, awareness and technology all enabling new ways to access and consume preventive health. Hardik Thakkar a aimé ceciHardik Thakkar a aimé ceciExcited to share a quick update from our little corner of the cruise industry 🚢 Turns out, even with war fears, airline disruptions, and global uncertainty, people still really want to go on cruises. Especially to Alaska. From India. Humans are wonderfully unpredictable. April 2026 Snapshot - Sales: $136,714 - Gross Margin: 5.8% The biggest surprise for us this season has been the strength of Indian outbound demand for Alaska sailings, contributing nearly 50% of our Mar & Apr sales. Europe contributed ~20%, followed by Singapore at ~20% - which continues to be one of the most loved cruise destinations for Indian travellers. We are optimistic about May and June, while Jul-Sep are usually softer months for us (founders call this “character-building season”). What kept us busy besides answering “Do cruises move during rain?” 1. AERTiCKET Cruise Launch - We launched the cruise product for AERTiCKET, which generated nearly $100K in sales within the first 2 months of launch. More importantly, it validated something we strongly believed: cruise distribution infrastructure can integrate into large travel ecosystems much faster than the industry assumes. 2) Another Large B2B Integration - We are now working on our second enterprise integration this quarter, which we expect could contribute an additional ~$100K/month in sales volume once live. Enterprise partnerships, we’ve learned, are surprisingly similar to cruises themselves - Long journeys. Slow turns. Occasional turbulence. But great views when things work out. What’s Next? 1. Expanding B2B integrations across the Middle East and the US 2. Targeting $200K in combined B2B + B2C sales in May & Jun 3. Building toward $10K/month in software revenue from Jul onwards The broader thesis remains unchanged, 1. Cruise is still one of the least digitized segments in travel, especially in emerging outbound markets like India. 2. The combination of consumer demand + infrastructure tooling for B2B businesses presents a very large long-term opportunity. And that makes this journey both difficult and incredibly exciting. Would love your feedback, thoughts, and suggestions. And if you work in travel, cruises, distribution, or simply enjoy solving messy industry problems - always happy to connect. Hardik Thakkar a réagi à ceciAdding my CTO take on this 👇 The "build vs buy" question has never been louder than in the Claude Code / Codex era. Every CTO and supply chain leader is asking it, and honestly, they should. For us at Flowlity, this is the moment we've been preparing for. → Flowlity Lite for fast adoption → MCP connectors so AI agents can talk natively to our planning engine → Agent pages built directly into the product Flowlity is no longer just a tool for planners. It's a platform where planners AND AI agents collaborate. Incredibly proud of what the team is building right now. The real question isn't Buy OR Build. It's Buy AND Build WITH Flowlity.Hardik Thakkar a réagi à ceci"We could build a tool in-house." That’s what we hear sometimes. More and more. And we get it. When your team is talented and your data is rich, it feels like the logical move. But here's what building an in-house Supply Chain planning tool actually involves: ✔️ 3 PhDs & 5 years of R&D investment. ✔️ A dedicated team of engineers, data scientists, and Supply Chain experts working full-time. ✔️ Real-world deployments to battle-test every edge case. ✔️ Continuous investment in AI models, UX, integrations, and support. ✔️ Juggling with great amount of data and relentlessly connect the dots with consequent computing power That's what it takes to build a tool like Flowlity. And even then, it's not just about code. It's about: ✔️ Probabilistic AI models trained on thousands of real-world Supply Chain scenarios ✔️ A product designed with planners, not just for them ✔️ Monthly product releases — every single month, without exception ✔️ A dedicated Customer Success team that ensures adoption ✔️ Native integrations with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, and other major ERPs Building in-house means maintaining all of that. Forever. With your own resources. The question isn't "can we build it?" It's "should we?" Focus on your core business. Let the Supply Chain planning experts handle the planning tool.

80 % of B2B SaaS scaleups crash at the first international checkpoint. Here is the autopsy—then the antidote 👇 The 5 recurring fractures : 1. Domestic playbook copied and pasted abroad. 2. Regulatory drag is ignored until a lawyer sends love letters. 3. “Logo-collector” hires made before product-market resonance. 4. Localization reduced to translation (culture ≠ language). 5. Cash-cycle myopia: applauding pipeline, forgetting collections. Case in point—2019. Series B client, London HQ, APAC dream. 9 months : 1.8 M$ burnt, churn + 0.9 pt, one compliance lawsuit. Exactement les cinq fractures, alignées comme sur un poster. What works instead? The 3-layer Expansion Spine : Layer 1 — SIGNAL • Secure 3 pilot accounts/region before the first local hire. • Single KPI: Net Revenue Retention ≥ 105 % on that cohort. Layer 2 — SKELETON • Living Compliance Matrix (data, tax, labour). • “Shadow Ops” squad in HQ mirroring every regional workflow for 90 days. Layer 3 — SCALE • Only after Layer 2 survives pressure tests : – Local PM translating use-cases, not just words. – Channel partners avec P&L partagé sur ≥ 2 cycles. – Variable comp: 70 % multi-year NRR, 30 % new ARR. Yes, a few outliers win by brute budget. Non, cette exception n’invalide pas la règle. Global expansion is not geography. It is a system stress test. A scaleup passes when the system performs overseas—sans founder on speed-dial. Tout le reste n’est que spectacle.

Why Indian Startups Flip to Delaware Before Series A For most of the 2010s and early 2020s, US venture firms — a16z, Tiger Global, YC-affiliated investors — were structurally built to invest in Delaware C-Corps. Their fund documents, governance frameworks, and legal workflows assumed it. Investing into an Indian private limited was possible, but added legal and compliance overhead most wouldn't absorb (at least for a series A). So, founders expecting US capital flipped before Series A, often pre-emptively. A Delaware C-Corp becomes the parent; the Indian entity becomes its wholly-owned subsidiary. Delaware holds the cap table and receives investment. The Indian company continues everything operational — hiring, contracts, licenses, regulatory compliance. IP may stay in India or transfer up, depending on tax structuring. The whole thing is governed by FEMA and RBI's overseas investment framework. You may ask why Delaware specifically? Predictable corporate law, extensive case precedent, a specialized Court of Chancery, and venture-friendly treatment of board governance, preferred stock, liquidation preferences, drag-along rights, and anti-dilution provisions. Reusing established NVCA-standard documentation keeps transaction costs low. Delaware became a Schelling point — everyone used it because everyone else did, and that network effect compounded over decades. Does it still make sense? A Delaware structure remains the right call when the company primarily targets US customers, expects a US-dominated investor base, or is building in categories where US IPO or acquisition is the natural exit — SaaS, AI, developer tools. Most YC-backed software companies still follow this path. India-first revenue, regulated sectors (fintech, insurance, lending), a likely BSE/NSE listing, or an investor base that's primarily Indian or Asia-focused — in these cases, the structural complexity of a foreign holdco delivers limited upside and meaningful ongoing cost. https://lnkd.in/g2h58Vjw

The AI-powered learning platform Yoodli AI Roleplays founded by Esha Joshi and Varun Puri — which offers realistic role-play simulations for communication, interviews, sales calls and more — has secured US $40 million in a Series B round, with participation from Neotribe Ventures and Madrona Venture Labs Group. 🔍 What this raise signals The capital will fuel expansion of Yoodli’s AI coaching, analytics, and personalization capabilities — helping enterprises scale experiential learning and training at scale. As remote work, hybrid teams and global hiring grow, demand for scalable communication-training and interview-preparation tools is rising — and Yoodli is positioned to capture that shift. The round follows a Series A earlier this year — underscoring strong investor belief in AI-driven learning infrastructure rather than just content-based edtech. 🛠️ How Alacrity EXTN LLP can support emerging edtech & AI-learning platforms like Yoodli ✅ Financial Modeling & Growth Planning — We build robust financial models tailored for fast-scaling AI-edtech startups: mapping subscription revenue, enterprise contracts, churn and expansion potential to help founders forecast growth and cash-flow realistically. ✅ Deal Structuring & Fundraising Strategy — We advise on timing, valuation, fundraising tranches and dilution impact — helping companies optimise between growth capital, capital efficiency, and long-term value creation. ✅ Investor-Ready Material & Positioning Support — We craft pitch decks, IMs and data-rooms that clearly articulate market opportunity, growth thesis, unit economics, monetisation strategy and scalability — essential for successive funding rounds or exit discussions. 🎯 Final Thoughts As workforce learning, remote collaboration and global hiring become the norm, scalable tools that teach people to communicate better — not just deliver content — are increasingly valuable. Yoodli’s latest raise reaffirms that AI-powered learning infrastructure isn’t a niche, but a core building-block for future workplaces. For founders and investors in this space: success will favor those who balance technological innovation with financial discipline, strategic planning, and execution readiness. #EdTech #LearningTech #AI #StartupFunding #SeriesB #EnterpriseLearning #WorkplaceTraining #GrowthStrategy #AlacrityEXTN #AIforGood #SkillDevelopment

Confession: We were not bullish about Indian Deep Tech Nearly a decade ago, we started out as classic 'bits over atoms' investors. Software felt controllable: ✓ Binary outcomes (works or doesn't) ✓ Logic-driven debugging ✓ Fast iteration cycles ✓ Predictable failure modes Deploy → Feedback → Fix → Repeat Beautifully systematic. Almost mathematical. The "Atoms" Fear Deep tech felt like chaos: ❌ Lack of infrastructure ❌ Murphy's Law everywhere ❌ Supply chain nightmares ❌ Regulatory maze ❌ 10-year development cycles ❌ Physics doesn't care about your timeline As Yogi Berra said: "In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is." Despite our skepticism, we still made minority bets on deep tech startups that are now outperforming expectations with outsized returns. The Biggest Learning: The hardest investments to execute often generate the best returns. Why? Because difficulty creates natural moats: Competition can't easily replicate Regulatory barriers protect market position Technical complexity becomes defensibility Patient capital gets rewarded. As it turns out, patience is a better temperament fit for us anyway. The Barbell Strategy: We're now dedicating a focused portion of our fund to Indian Deep Tech. Not because it's easy. Because it's hard. Not despite the 10-year cycles. Because of them. The optionality for massive returns justifies the complexity.

Women On Boards Project • 18 k abonnés
Most founders don’t build their boards. They inherit them. A term sheet comes in. The investor gets a seat. The founder gets a seat. Maybe there’s one independent. And suddenly you have a board — not because you designed it, but because a deal closed. Nobody stops to ask: is this the best possible team to govern and grow this company? After helping place nearly 80 women onto private consumer boards since 2020, I can tell you the founders who actually build their boards — who push for specialist knowledge, who ask their investors for an operator seat, who stop recycling familiar names — end up with a competitive advantage. Not a checkbox. This week, Kierstin Rielly and I joined Jacqui Dynowski & Cristina Marinucci on the SHeCOMMERCE Podcast to dig into exactly this. How private boards actually work. What specialist expertise in a seat can unlock. Why “we don’t have an open seat” is almost never actually true. And yes — why this is still a demand problem, not a supply problem. There are so many phenomenal women. The question is whether founders are willing to design for it. Your board should be as intentional as the company you’re building. Most aren’t. Yet. 🎧 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/gi3R9XUW

India just quietly rewrote the rules for deep tech startups. In February 2026, the DPIIT issued a new notification that most people in the ecosystem haven't fully absorbed yet. Deep tech companies — biotech, semiconductors, space, AI — now have 20 years to hold startup status, double the previous 10. The revenue threshold for tax benefits and grants has also been raised to ₹3 billion, up from ₹1 billion. On the surface this looks like administrative housekeeping. It's not. Here's why it matters for early-stage investors: The old framework created what investors called a "graduation cliff." A biotech company doing clinical trials, or a semiconductor startup still pre-commercial, would lose startup benefits mid-journey — not because they failed, but because the policy timeline was built for SaaS companies, not science-led ones. The previous framework essentially created a false failure signal — judging deep tech ventures on policy deadlines rather than technological progress. The 20-year runway removes that cliff. Alongside this, private investors — Accel, Blume Ventures, Celesta Capital, Kalaari Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and others have formed a $1B+ India Deep Tech Alliance to complement the government's ₹1 trillion RDI Fund. Public capital. Private capital. Policy reform. All pointing in the same direction. I've spent time evaluating biotech and life sciences deals at Sathguru Catalysers. The regulatory timeline has always been one of the hardest things to model for early-stage investors in this space. This change meaningfully shifts that equation. The question worth asking now: will this translate into more patient LP capital flowing into biotech and deep tech funds — or will India's VC ecosystem still default to safer, shorter-horizon bets? #venturecapital #earlystagestartups #startupindia #dpiit #IndiaDeepTechAlliance #lifesciences

🚨 Big Signal for India’s Startup & Investment Ecosystem Asia-Pacific private equity is waking up again — and the money is starting to move. Hillhouse has raised a massive $7 BILLION, and analysts call this the strongest revival signal for the region’s growth cycle. But here’s the part that matters for us: 👉 India is now one of the top confidence markets — PE firms expect strong returns across tech, manufacturing, AI automation & energy transition. 👉 Global investors now see India as scalable, stable, and future-ready. 👉 Capital winter is shifting into selective but aggressive deployment. This is the kind of momentum that builds unicorns quietly… and then all at once. If you’re a founder, operator, or early builder, watch these spaces closely: Advanced manufacturing Clean energy & transition tech AI automation + SaaS efficiency tools Fintech infra & secure payment rails The next wave won’t be hype-driven. It’ll be discipline + efficiency + real traction. And India is perfectly positioned for it. #IndiaGrowth #StartupIndia #InvestmentInsights #PrivateEquity #TechTrends #AIAutomation #EnergyTransition #MaheshKumarMahapatra

Why the YC Summer 2025 batch matters — and what startup founders & investors should take away Today I spent time reviewing the entire YC Summer 2025 cohort and came away with three clear themes — which any founder or investor should internalize. 1. AI & automation are everywhere — but the winners are human-centric. The batch includes a wave of companies automating everything from supply chains to voice-driven customer service. What sets the winners apart: they build automation around human workflows and human value, not instead of them. 2. Domain specificity + depth beat broad strokes. Many startups pitch “generic AI for X,” but within the batch I saw a meaningful trend: ventures attacking very specific verticals (e.g., nursing homes, asset tokenization, climate work) with tailored solutions. As a strategist, I believe this is where defensibility and early traction live. 3. Platform thinking is emerging — but with marketplace humility. Some batches back “build the Uber of Y” thinking. This time, I saw more founders starting with a lean core product (often SaaS or embedded voice/IoT) and layering network-effects later. Smart. Especially if you’re revisiting a fintech or tokenization play (asset-token marketplaces, anyone?). If you’re a founder in this batch (or pre-seed & seed investor): • Ask yourself: Are we solving a real workflow pain or just gluing “AI” on top of old processes? • Map your domain: What vertical is niche enough to defend but broad enough to scale? • Build with latency and customer voice in mind: It’s not just what you automate—it’s how quickly and how well you deliver value. #startups #YC #AI #automation #founderstrategy #growth #seed #venture #tokenization #voiceagents #IoT

Every startup journey begins with conviction, but growth is where the real test begins. Once a company moves beyond the idea stage and begins generating revenue, the challenges change. It is no longer about building a product - it becomes about building systems, strengthening execution, accessing the right capital, and making disciplined strategic decisions that can sustain scale. Over time, we have seen promising startups reach this critical stage and struggle not because of lack of talent or vision, but because structured growth support is often missing. STRIDE 2026 has been built in response to that gap. Introduced by Kashmir Angel Network in collaboration with Techarc and @Qasba Ventures, STRIDE is a focused growth acceleration programme for revenue-stage startups that are ready to move to the next level with strategic guidance, structured capital deployment, and execution-driven mentorship. This initiative is designed for founders who are already building and earning, and who understand that scaling requires more than momentum - it requires alignment, structure, and accountability. Applications for the inaugural cohort are now open. If your startup is ready for disciplined growth, you can apply through the link below. https://lnkd.in/gqKSP2Np Shakaib Azhar Chaudhry Mohammad Faisal A.Shabir Handoo
