- Replaced deprecated Q promises with async/await
- Replaced request module with native fetch (Node.js v18+)
- Added timeout using AbortController (5s)
- Improved error handling and validation
- Ensured secure header and hook post-processing
- Cleaned up logging with consistent error messages
