High-school dropout → CPUs in Minecraft (ORE) → C++/OpenGL → full-stack web → Go systems software.

Sole software engineer at an encryption-hardware company for the last few years. Built device provisioning, brokering, and production-line tooling; spent the past year on the core product. Working with two SystemVerilog engineers, got an open-ended scope down to something we could ship, co-wrote the design doc, and shipped the MVP.

I care about what happens when a process crashes halfway through an update. Fail-closed state, transactional installs, cross-process coordination. Practical paranoia.

Projects

  • Sprout - Template for per-user Go CLIs and daemons. Shared SQLite state, background service, HTTPS dashboard, and signed updates with transactional install and recovery. Linux + Windows, no cgo or npm. Tested across 11 feature variants and 8 distros.
  • Transplant - Setup wizard for Sprout, and the first real app built from it.
  • Servo - Dedicated game-server manager with verb-based drivers. Built on Sprout.
  • Rails - An 8-bit processor and its ISA.
