UI card fails in case groupsensor used instead of single sensor for window open status

Since update of homeassist to 2025.12.x ( not exactly sure when this surfaced) I recognize that the better thermostat UI card fails for a better thermostat defined with a anythign else that a single window open sensor. I have in my living room 2 windows and a door with Shelly sensor. I used so far successfully a groupsensor combining all windwo open signals as input for better thermostat. better thermostat controls correctly (detects window open in case 1 of the sensors shows open) but the UI card shows like this

System is updated to the latest 2026.1 and all better therostat as well as UI card latest versions...
Any thoughts on what could cause this behaviour and how to fix it?

Looks like the grouped sensor is reporting low battery. May be adding some fake battery status can help.
But I am just guessing.
