A curved, custom-drawn bottom tab bar with a floating center button, built in pure SwiftUI.
Custom Tab Bar SwiftUI demonstrates how to build a bespoke bottom navigation bar without relying on the stock TabView. It draws a curved container shape with a Path, lays out four SF Symbol tab items in an HStack, and overlays a raised, circular floating action button in the notch. Selection state is tracked with a simple Bottom enum so the active icon highlights as you tap through the tabs.
- Curved tab bar background drawn with a custom
Shape(Path+addArc). - Four tab items (home, search, person, menu) driven by a
CaseIterableBottomenum. - Floating circular action button (heart icon) offset above the bar with a drop shadow.
- Selection tracking with
@State/@Bindingthat highlights the active tab. - Reusable layout tuning through view extension modifiers for icon sizing and spacing.
