What

Adds a new self-hosting tutorial, Deploy Directus to PandaStack, and lists PandaStack on the self-hosting hub page.

  • content/tutorials/6.self-hosting/deploy-directus-to-pandastack.md (new)
  • content/tutorials/6.self-hosting/index.md (adds PandaStack to the platform list)

Companion issue: #809

Why

The existing self-hosting tutorials here are Docker/blueprint or raw-VM based. This one covers a pure npm/Node PaaS deploy: PandaStack runs Directus as a Node application from a Git repository, backed by managed PostgreSQL. It's closest in shape to the Railway and Render guides.

Verified

The full flow was tested end to end on Directus 12.2.0:

  • directus bootstrap && directus start from a minimal repo (package.json, pandastack.json, mise.toml)
  • Managed PostgreSQL over TLS (DB_SSL=true; the managed cert chains to a public CA)
  • Data Studio served at the app root, /admin/login reachable
  • Admin login succeeds against the managed database (confirms bootstrap migrated + seeded the admin)

Notes for reviewers

  • Structure and tone follow the sibling Railway/Render tutorials: Before You Start → numbered Step sections → Optional: sections → Summary; sentence-case headings; bold for UI, inline code for variables/commands.
  • stableId and id were generated as UUIDv4. I couldn't run pnpm stable-ids:ensure locally (the repo requires Node 22.18+ and my environment had Node 20), so please regenerate them if you prefer the deterministic values. This is a new page with no moved/deleted routes, so no redirects.json changes.
  • Deploy detail surfaced in the guide: Directus's isolated-vm dependency needs Node 22's prebuilt binary, so the tutorial pins Node 22 via mise.toml (newer Node without a prebuilt binary falls back to a node-gyp source build).

Happy to adjust scope, wording, or the example per the team's preference.

Closes #809

Adds a self-hosting tutorial for deploying Directus as a Node application on
PandaStack, backed by managed PostgreSQL, and lists PandaStack on the
self-hosting hub page. Fills the gap for a pure npm/Node PaaS deploy (the
existing PaaS guides are Docker/blueprint based).
