GitHub Education Application Keeps Getting Rejected

Hi everyone,

I'm currently studying at the Open University and trying to get access to the GitHub education pack. I've currently applied 3 times, all being rejected. I've attempted to follow the reasons, of putting my first and last name in billing and user profile. Yet as the Open University is a remote university, I do not have a physical ID to use. I've used my Student academic summary but to no avail. Any help/tips what I can do to apply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I suggest contacting them and asking for a dated enrollment letter on official letterhead.

Considering that you are a remote student, you must submit an academic proof clearly indicating that you are part of a distance learning program, as also stated in the Student Developer Pack Application FAQs:

In order to qualify for the GitHub education program, we must be able to verify that you are either located close to your campus, or that you are a part of a verifiable distance learning program.

Documents that prove your current student status include a picture of your school ID with current enrollment date, class schedule, transcript, and affiliation or enrollment verification letter.

Therefore, you can try any of the above documents or any other that can prove your current student status.

definitely try providing OTHER signs of proof.
Sure, they can be... abysmal, but if it shows PROOF, that works.

Legend! I just did the same. I cannot believe that the incredibly detailed Student Record page was rejected in favour of a UniDays ID page that looked like it had been knocked up in Word by a 10 year old in about 3 minutes 🤣

I am also studying at the Open University. My school can issue electronic certificates. I can provide many documents, including the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center report (China's widely recognized academic qualification/student status certificate), student ID card, admission notice, and school-issued enrollment certificate. However, I cannot upload them. I can only prove my student status by taking a photo of a very blurry file compressed to 50kb.
