incorrect subscription period

Hi everyone,

I was incorrectly given an educational subscription on github, I will have training until 2029, but the subscription is until 2027. The documents that I sent also indicate that the training is until 2029. How can I cover the subscription for all years of study?

GitHub Education/Student Developer Pack access is usually granted for a limited period (often 1 year at a time) and then needs to be renewed, even if your study program continues for longer (like until 2029). That’s why you may see an end date like 2027 even though your documents show your training goes beyond that.

✅ What you can do:

1. Wait until your current approval is close to expiring, then re-apply/renew using the same GitHub Education verification page.
2. If you believe the end date is clearly wrong (because your submitted proof already shows 2029), contact GitHub Education Support and request a correction:
   • Go to: GitHub Support → “Contact support”
   • Select: GitHub Education / Student Developer Pack
   • Attach your documents again and mention your correct end date (2029)

In most cases, GitHub won’t manually extend it for the full program length at once — it is extended by renewals — but Support can confirm if your case needs a manual review.
