Instant rejection usually indicates that the automated verification system is unable to clearly read or confirm the required details in the uploaded document. If the image appears blurry after upload, this is very likely the cause of the rejection. GitHub Education verification typically requires the document to clearly show: • Your full name If image quality is reduced after capture, try the following:
Currently, GitHub does not offer an alternative manual submission method outside the standard application process, so improving document clarity usually resolves the issue. Many applicants who experienced instant rejection were approved after re-uploading a clearer scan or a direct PDF export of their document. |

The only option i have is to use my camera, when trying to take the photo
all text is cleaqrly visible, but after capturing, the quality gets lost
(due to their servers compression), so no verification can get passed. I
have several types of valid documents to share, but they simply cannot get
passed due to this quality issue. If i was able to submit via a screenshot
or file, i am sure there would be no issue. Is there any way i can submit
for manual review? i noticed in the support section that github no longer
offers this.

I tried desktop site in my phone's browser just now, it allowed me to upload my document clearly, and it didn't get rejected |

I am having the exact same issue. I've applied twice--rejected twice. The first time was using my laptop camera and granted the image quality was poor. The second time, I did it through my phone and the images were much more clear. I took a picture of the admissions deposit receipt, as well as the class schedule (classes haven't started yet). And I've updated my github user profile. |

Hi! This issue usually happens during the automated verification step and it’s fairly common, especially when the system cannot clearly read the uploaded document. A few things you can try: 1. Use a different device or browser
2. Upload a scanned document instead of a photo
Scanned documents are usually processed more reliably than camera photos. 3. Make sure the document clearly shows:
If any of these are missing, the system may reject the verification automatically. 4. Try submitting a different verification type
5. Contact support if it keeps rejecting instantly |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hello,
I am facing some issues with verifying my student status. When I submit my application, it instantly gets rejected. I have tried a number of different verification methods (picture of email, transcript, dated syllabus etc) but all end up with the same result. When taking the image, it is clear, but after it has been taken, it appears blurry so this may be where the issue lies. Is there an alternative way of submitting this?
Thanks in advance.
