Hi, I'm Awal Ariansyah, a backend engineer in Jakarta who builds OCR and computer vision systems, and this is my portfolio.

I believe reality runs on a hidden system, with a variable under the things we measure that keeps the whole in balance. Every creation has two sides, so the moment beauty appears, ugliness is defined with it. A high brings a low into existence, and a bright light throws a sharp shadow behind it.

Push a force to its extreme and the opposite reaction arrives to restore the balance. Mathematics is the strictest field I know, yet it needed imaginary numbers, numbers that are not "real", to finish its work. So when a problem refuses to move, I walk around it and try it from the opposite direction.

Human expectation is part of that system, and I think it carries more power than we give it. I call the idea Opposite Expectation: the things I resist persist, and the things I accept transform. When I expect the world to have two sides, the side I did not want becomes material to work with.

I draw this from my faith, from Taoism, and from Stoicism, and I ask nobody else to share it. I write it down to keep control of my own mind, and to remind myself that the universe is balanced.
