Keith Ndiema K
Student Developer · Aspiring Quant & Data Scientist · Building AI for Africa's Markets
I’m a first-year Computer Science student (as of June 2026) at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda, and the founder of four live AI/ML systems solving real problems in African markets. My work sits at the intersection of machine learning, financial systems, and infrastructure intelligence — built for contexts where data is sparse, connectivity is limited, and the stakes are high.
What I'm Building
-
Vestora AI-powered investment intelligence platform for the Africa's capital markets. Real-time market data, financial analytics dashboard, and ML-driven insights for retail and institutional investors. The Bloomberg terminal Africa never had.
-
AgriGuard ML-powered agricultural price forecasting + counterfeit detection with USSD integration. XGBoost + Prophet ensemble forecasting, Isolation Forest anomaly detection, and integration with Africa’s Talking USSD gateway. Designed for smallholder farmers with no smartphone.
-
Traffic Sentinel YOLOv8-based road safety and traffic analytics system. Real-time vehicle detection, incident classification, FastAPI backend, and Chart.js dashboard. Government proposal submitted to Uganda’s Ministry of ICT.
-
MedTrack AI-powered pharmaceutical intelligence for medicine quality, supply visibility, and diversion detection. Quality verification, stockout forecasting, and diversion/reconciliation modules built on a shared stock-events data model. GitHub - Pharma-Lens/MedTrack
