Scores are out of 10 and combine execution quality, real trading costs, platform stability, withdrawal speed and regulatory standing. Ranking reflects our own testing — not commercial deals.

Why it topped the list

JustMarkets is the one we kept trading after the tests ended

We fund a lot of accounts. Most get closed once the review is filed. JustMarkets forex trading is the exception — the desk kept a live account running because the fills were consistent and the Raw-spread pricing genuinely held up during the London–New York overlap, not just in the marketing screenshots.

A $10 minimum deposit, spreads that start at 0.0 pips on the Raw account, withdrawals that cleared to a Visa card in under a working day during our tests, and MT4/MT5 without the usual dealing-desk friction. For most retail traders in 2026, it's the best balance of cost, access and reliability we found.

What a "review" actually means here

£

Real money, real orders

Every broker gets a live, funded account. We place market and limit orders across sessions and log the slippage ourselves — no demo accounts, no vendor spreadsheets.

⏱

We time the withdrawal

The moment that matters most is getting your money out. We request a withdrawal on every broker and record how long it actually takes to hit the account.

§

We read the licence

We check each entity against its regulator's public register — FCA, ASIC, CySEC, FSCA — and note which entity you'd actually be onboarded to as a retail client.

Common questions

Which broker is best for beginners in 2026?

For most people starting out we point to JustMarkets — the $10 minimum deposit lowers the barrier, the standard account has no commission, and the MT4/MT5 apps are the same ones you'll find tutorials for everywhere. eToro is the other option if you specifically want copy-trading, though its spreads run wider.

Are these brokers regulated?

Every broker in our top five holds at least one tier-one or tier-two licence. Regulation differs by the entity you sign up to, so we list the specific regulator on each review. Always confirm which entity is offered to residents of your country before depositing.

Do you get paid to rank JustMarkets first?

We run affiliate links, and JustMarkets is a partner — we're upfront about that. But the ranking comes from the scorecard, and the scorecard comes from testing. Pepperstone and IG are also partners and sit below it. If a broker underperforms, the score reflects it regardless of the commercial relationship.

How often are the rankings updated?

Quarterly, plus an out-of-cycle update whenever a broker changes its pricing, loses or gains a licence, or has a platform outage we can verify. This edition was last revised on 4 July 2026.
