Jimmy Ochiltree Sims Home Reborn as a Beacon of Orange County’s Heritage

The Jimmy Ochiltree Sims home, built in 1902 in Orange, Texas, was carefully designed by Sims to reflect his upper-middle-class status and proximity to key community institutions; after remaining in the family until 1977, the house was relocated and restored as a historical museum by the Heritage House Association. Now located at 905 Division Street, the home stands as a preserved example of early 20th-century architecture and serves to educate future generations on the rich cultural and economic history of Orange County.
