Jane Godiner

is hungry.

Hungry for cachapas and chang fen, but also for stories about the figures and forces that influence the culinary world.

Jane’s food journalism has sent her across the East Coast. Over the past seven years, she has studied food writing at Bowdoin College, honed her skills at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, served as a judge for the James Beard Foundation, and worked as a full-time food reporter in Columbia, South Carolina, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Maryland.

Most recently, Jane was the sole food reporter for The Baltimore Sun, where she covered breaking restaurant openings and closings, wrote investigative, enterprise and trend stories about the hospitality industry, and curated Baltimore dining guides with detailed food and beverage reviews. She now covers food, beverage and dining news for local publications in Baltimore, the DMV area and New York City, as well as for national outlets.

Currently reporting in: Baltimore, the DMV area, and New York City
