Today, NBCUniversal Local announced the 2026 Clear The Shelter’s Presented by Hill's Pet Nutrition helped more than 135,000 pets find new homes and raised nearly $500,000 for participating animal shelters. Since its 2015 inception, the annual pet adoption and donation campaign has resulted in nearly 1.5 million adoptions and more than $6 million on fundraising. This year’s Clear The Shelters included more than 100 NBC and Telemundo stations and 1,200 shelters in 153 markets across 47 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and Guam. Hill's Pet Nutrition, a global leader in science-based pet nutrition and leading supporter of animal welfare, returned for the ninth consecutive year as a partner of Clear The Shelters and for the first time served as the campaign’s presenting sponsor. Longtime campaign partner Greater Good Charities once again led Clear The Shelters fundraising efforts, while WeRescue returned for the eighth consecutive year as the campaign’s exclusive technology partner, helping connect users with adoptable pets in their communities. The Black Dog Tavern, Co. also returned for its second year as a campaign partner, supporting Clear The Shelters through customer donations, a special collection of campaign-branded merchandise and adoption events at its retail locations. Football is back — and NBCUniversal is bringing the full power of our portfolio to the start of the NFL season. 🏈 Across NBCUniversal, our brands and businesses are surrounding NFL Kickoff with special programming, original content and fan experiences. Our “Race to Wednesday” campaign follows a custom NFL Kickoff football on a cross-country journey from Boston to Seattle, with NBCUniversal and Bravo stars, content creators, mascots and special guests along the way. Bravo is celebrating the similarities between Bravo and NFL fandom with a custom promotion pairing iconic Bravo moments with NFL-inspired commentary, while America’s Got Talent gets in on the action with an NFL-themed live results show.
