斎田 グレゴール さんがリアクションしましたAI-Driven Web Design Trends and the Future of Website Aesthetics One of the most fascinating shifts happening in web design right now is the transition from static websites to intelligent, adaptive digital systems. AI is no longer simply helping automate repetitive production tasks. It is increasingly influencing: layout generation, personalization, conversational interfaces, accessibility, UX optimization, and even real-time behavioral adaptation. I recently updated one of our earlier articles exploring how AI-powered design trends are reshaping modern website aesthetics and user experiences in 2026. What I find especially interesting is that as AI-generated design becomes more widespread, many brands are simultaneously moving toward more human, organic, and emotionally authentic digital experiences. In some ways, the rise of AI is making human creativity even more valuable. AI is clearly becoming one of the most transformative forces in modern digital design. But I do not think the future belongs to fully automated creativity. The strongest digital experiences will likely come from teams that understand how to combine: intelligent systems, adaptive UX, strategic thinking, and human-centered creativity. Technology can optimize workflows and generate possibilities. But empathy, storytelling, emotional nuance, and cultural understanding still remain deeply human strengths. Curious to hear how others are approaching AI-assisted design and the evolving relationship between automation and creativity in 2026. At Studio Five, we believe the future of web design lies in intelligent collaboration between AI systems and human creativity. If your business is exploring AI-powered web design, adaptive UX systems, or intelligent digital experiences, we would love to connect. #AIWebDesign #UXDesign #DigitalExperience #ArtificialIntelligence #IntelligentWebSystems #StudioFive https://lnkd.in/gt4m7aPZAI-Powered Design Trends: How Smart Algorithms Are Revolutionizing Website AestheticsAI-Powered Design Trends: How Smart Algorithms Are Revolutionizing Website Aesthetics斎田 グレゴール

斎田 グレゴール さんがリアクションしましたHow to Optimize Your E-Commerce Website for Mobile Consumers One of the biggest shifts in digital commerce over the past several years has been the transition from desktop-first shopping to mobile-led behavior. Consumers now expect shopping experiences that feel: Instant Frictionless Personalized App-like Context-aware And increasingly, they expect all of that directly within the browser. I recently updated an article exploring how modern e-commerce design is adapting to mobile consumers in 2026, including topics such as PWAs, AI-driven personalization, voice search, checkout UX, microinteractions, and mobile performance optimization. As mobile commerce continues evolving, intelligent UX design is becoming one of the most important competitive differentiators for digital brands. The future of e-commerce will likely become increasingly adaptive, predictive, and mobile-centered. But even as AI and automation continue reshaping digital commerce, the fundamentals still matter: Speed. Clarity. Trust. Usability. The brands that combine intelligent systems with genuinely thoughtful UX will likely be the ones that continue standing out. Curious to hear how others are approaching mobile commerce and adaptive UX in 2026. At Studio Five, we help businesses build intelligent e-commerce systems designed for modern mobile behavior. 斎田 グレゴール さんがリアクションしました斎田 グレゴール さんがリアクションしましたIn the words of Coach Mike Macdonald - we’re “stacking wins” downtown. Starting with the reopening of Westlake Park after $6m in improvements led by the City of Seattle, Seattle Parks Foundation and a terrific Seattle project team that included Sellen Construction, Pine Street Group L.L.C. and Berger Partnership with the quarterbacking of Beth Purcell. The park now includes new landscaping, lighting, WiFi, brand new seating, games, a food and beverage concession, kids furnishings, ping pong tables and reliable power for watch parties, food trucks and concerts. The park is also now much more inviting with the removal of the broken fountain and large arch. Our team at the Downtown Seattle Association is thrilled to be back in the space to program and activate it and ensure it’s safe and welcoming to all. Keep your eyes out for more info on watch parties on the big screen and beer gardens just in time for World Cup.

斎田 グレゴール さんが「いいね!」しました斎田 グレゴール さんが「いいね!」しましたI thought the terrible idea of a commercial vacancy tax was dying out, but The Urbanist is seemingly trying to prop it up here in Seattle and Washington State. It's as if proponents are acknowledging we may have run the course on the number of new taxes on businesses that can be tolerated so they're turning their attention to taxing the empty space that some of those businesses once occupied. 🤦🏻♂️ There's a better idea to fill the vacancy that nobody wants to see (not the least of which are the folks who own the properties). Policy makers should focus on the DEMAND side. - Make it easier for landlords and businesses of all shapes and sizes to fill spaces by guaranteeing reasonable timelines on permit review and issuance. - Adopt a tone a tenor that is welcoming to business and investment. - Ensure state and local tax and regulatory policy is predictable (the last five years has been anything but predictable). - Make Seattle and Washington the most competitive places to start and grow a business. The result will be more businesses in currently empty spaces, more jobs, more tax revenue, and more active ground floors in commercial districts. Instead of taxing empty space. Let's focus on filling it up. https://lnkd.in/gqi3he7XWest Coast Cities Turn to Vacancy Taxes to Grapple with Housing CrisisWest Coast Cities Turn to Vacancy Taxes to Grapple with Housing Crisis

Libraries are actively testing how #AI fits into archival practice. At Goldey-Beacom College, staff and students developed a review-centered approach where AI supports drafting and people retain decision-making authority. AI-powered toys are coming to a toy store near you ... But these are NOT toys. They are AI systems designed to converse with children, simulate emotional responsiveness, and hold attention. Calling them 'educational doesn’t change what they are, child-facing chatbots wrapped in 'cuddly wide eyed' appeal branding. As an anthropologist, I find this deeply troubling. Childhood play is not about efficiency or constant stimulation. It is how we learn to tolerate boredom, negotiate conflict, read real emotions, and build agency. These are not flaws to be optimised away. They are the foundations of being human. AI systems do the opposite. They remove friction. They respond instantly. They adapt to please. They never get tired, distracted or emotionally unavailable. When we place that dynamic in front of a developing child, we quietly recalibrate what “relationship” means long before that child has the capacity to question it. We are introducing emotional machines into children’s lives without knowing the long-term cognitive or psychological consequences. We would never trial a new drug on children without years of testing. So are we happy to trial synthetic companionship on their developing brains? Some of these toys have already been shown to generate inappropriate, unsafe and even sexually explicit responses. That alone should have triggered a regulatory halt. It didn’t. And then there’s the data. These toys listen. They record. They transmit. Children cannot consent to this. Parents are rarely told clearly what data is collected, how long it’s kept, or where it goes. If this were happening in a workplace or public space, we’d call it surveillance. In a child’s bedroom, it’s marketed as innovation. If AI toys are genuinely safe, beneficial and ethical, then they should withstand rigorous independent testing, strict regulation and hard public scrutiny. Until then, normalising them is reckless. Childhood is not a sandbox for unregulated AI.

"Museum of the Moving Image and the Tezos Foundation expand their partnership with a new series of artist commissions exploring blockchain as a creative material, featuring installations on the Museum’s Herbert S. Schlosser Media Wall, events, and a public workshop track, the FA2 Fellowship. From November 2025 through January 2027, five artist pairs will present works on the 50-foot Media Wall in the lobby. Each participating artist will also release a “production artifact” from their process, such as source code, sketches, or generative tools. Eight artifacts will be published on Tezos across the cycle and available for the public to collect at no cost, offering a parallel record of experimentation and development." https://lnkd.in/eVJ9HQAc

Fragmented ecosystems and limited supply: Why China cannot break free from Nvidia hardware for AI Key Insight: China remains unable to break free from Nvidia hardware dominance in AI due to fragmented domestic ecosystems and limited supply, with Chinese companies still relying heavily on nearly one million Nvidia HGX H20 processors purchased in 2024 alone. Background: Despite China’s multi-year strategic push for AI hardware self-sufficiency and massive investments in domestic chip development, U.S. export restrictions and internal fragmentation have hindered progress. In 2025, China froze new Nvidia H20 GPU purchases amid security concerns, while top Chinese AI players like Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent, and DeepSeek continue to depend on Nvidia’s hardware and CUDA software ecosystem for AI workloads. Top Three Reasons This Matters: 1. Nvidia’s supply scale and mature CUDA software stack create a chicken-and-egg challenge for China’s AI industry, as domestic hardware lacks both volume and developer support—DeepSeek abandoned training on Huawei’s Ascend chips due to performance issues, reverting to Nvidia GPUs. 2. U.S. export controls and a 15% sales tax on Nvidia and AMD AI hardware sold to China have fragmented the global AI supply chain, reinforcing reliance on U.S.-based Nvidia chips while limiting China’s ability to build a truly independent AI ecosystem. 3. The lack of common hardware and software standards within China’s AI ecosystem leads to market fragmentation, compounding the difficulties for Chinese firms like Biren, Huawei, and Moore Threads to scale and compete with Nvidia’s integrated ecosystem dominance. Authorship is no longer assumed. It has to be proven. The C2PA standard introduces a new layer to design. Not visible styling, but verifiable origin. Every image, edit, and transformation can carry a traceable record. This shifts the role of graphic design. Design is no longer only about communication. It is about accountability. In a landscape shaped by generative AI, provenance becomes part of the system, not an afterthought. The brands that adopt it early will define what trust looks like next. What if a simple sketch could reveal how students truly understand Human–Computer Interaction? In Sketching Snapshots, Sarah Sterman, Miriam Sturdee, and Angela Miguel explore sketching as more than a design technique, using it as a reflective lens into how students make sense of complex, evolving concepts in HCI. Through pre- and post-semester workshops across HCI courses in the US and UK, the authors analyzed 68 student sketches alongside interviews with students and instructors. The result: sketching emerges as a powerful, low-barrier way to surface implicit assumptions, shifting mindsets, and diverse interpretations of what HCI means. One highlight from the study: students’ surprise and delight when they received their original sketches back at the end of the semester, a moment that made learning visible, personal, and tangible. Beyond assessment, this work shows how reflective sketching can enrich teaching, spark deeper classroom conversations, and reshape how we approach HCI education. ✨ Highly recommend trying “Sketching Snapshots” in your own classes. ✨Check out the first issue of the year! 📙Heritage, Volume 9, Issue 1 (January 2026): 🔗https://brnw.ch/21wZExJ 📔The cover story of this issue discusses how #glaze effects, once considered technical flaws, are now deliberately valued for their expressive potential in modern and contemporary ceramics. These complex surfaces, with irregular textures with inclusions, craters, or crack networks, are particularly vulnerable to #deterioration. 🔬Addressing these issues requires #conservation assessments grounded in a solid understanding of materials and techniques, increasingly supported by analytical studies and #TechnicalArtHistory. 🔍This approach is especially relevant for #azulejos, where historical reproductions are often used to reintegrate losses in tile panels. To support the conservation assessment of #ContemporaryTiles and comparable works, this study investigates the materials and techniques involved through a multi-analytical methodology combined with experimental glaze reproductions. 📖Read the whole paper here: https://brnw.ch/21wZExI
