Recent FDA approval marks another milestone in Corbion's collaboration with Medincell, supporting the development and commercialization of new long-acting injectable products.    The recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval of the first once-monthly subcutaneous long-acting injectable (LAI) formulation of olanzapine for adults living with schizophrenia, developed by Teva Pharmaceuticals, marks the second FDA-approved product based on Medincell's proprietary BEPO® technology, after the earlier approval of extended-release risperidone formulation in April 2023. We congratulate our partner Medincell and Teva on this important achievement in advancing the care for people living with schizophrenia. The present milestone is also a proud moment for the team at Corbion Biomaterials, demonstrating the value of sustained collaboration across pharmaceutical development, specialized materials science, regulatory expertise and GMP manufacturing with Medincell. Corbion's contribution has extended across the development journey, from supporting early formulation research and polymer development to supplying GMP-grade polymer excipients for clinical development and commercial launch, complemented by regulatory support. Corbion’s polymer manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands and the United States provide the manufacturing expertise and global supply capabilities required to translate innovation into products.
