I am a professor of mathematics at the University of Georgia.
NOTE: In Spring 2015 my department adjusted the mechanics of its webpage, which broke a lot of my links. For now, if you see a broken link like http://www.math.uga.edu/~pete/inversemw.pdf, try changing it to http://alpha.math.uga.edu/~pete/inversemw.pdf. It should fix the problem.
NOTE: Time does pass. IT at my university has become centralized: we lost our departmental IT staff and then finally, in Summer 2025, our departmental server. I now have a github webpage. I asked, and I was told that it would not be possible (or at any rate, not be done!) to redirect my old links, so I have many many answers here with broken links. Any link to my old UGA "expositions" page should have a corresponding version on the new page. Please feel free to edit my answers to fix links if you see how to do so!
