This is gorgeous:

Upon checking src of this image, that's what I found:

file://cdn.sstatic.net/Content/Sites/stackexchangemeta/img/404.png

If anything, it shouldn't start with file://... though it is still not found even if you put a proper protocol

Should this be /Content/Sites/stackexchangemeta/img/404.png (i.e. on the same domain)? At least this one resolves properly. So, there's a wild file://cdn.sstatic.net that snuck in 🤯

Oooh - I was almost tempted to leave this as is. Too good a joke to 404 on our own 404.

But alas, it is fixed now. Sorry for the convenience

    That... is kinda insane, this is probably one of the most unexpected sweet things I've heard in my life 🥹 I'm so genuinely happy if this motivated you or influenced your life in a positive way! As a teen back in 2014-2015 I posted a lot of funny stuff in there and never would think something of it would have that kind of an effect
