I can view my deleted question at https://stackoverflow.com/questions/79346222/do-browsers-ever-make-chunked-requests, but not at https://beta.stackoverflow.com/questions/79346222/do-browsers-ever-make-chunked-requests (which returns 404 Not Found).

The latter link is shown, however, in the "Deleted Questions" list.

To confirm, as a moderator, I can access your post. Commented Feb 25 at 12:33

This will be an interesting one. I am kind of expecting this to be a working as intended to be honest. Curation-driven deletions are not going to be a thing and thus any UI around them is also not going to be a thing. I base that on absolutely nothing, only pattern matching. Commented Feb 25 at 13:06

Fun fact: it shows 404 for some non-deleted posts as well Commented Feb 25 at 13:17
  • 10k+ non-mod: also I see 404 on the beta. I am not very happy on it. I see on the normal site as a deleted question as usual. Commented Feb 25 at 20:59
  • @ThomA You can see the deleted question on the beta? Commented Feb 25 at 21:00
  • Yes, I can, @peterh . Commented Feb 25 at 21:02
  • @ThomA Fine. Looks it is not really a purely design change then. Commented Feb 25 at 21:03

The author of a question, and a 10Ker should be able to access the post, @peterh . The fact that [status-planned] has been added evidences that. Commented Feb 25 at 21:03
  • @ThomA Yes. Important thing: I tracked the page request and it is the same as on the main site. However, the main site gives the result, while the beta SO does not. Probably there is backend change, too. Maybe even a partial rewrite. Commented Feb 25 at 21:08
