Missouri FFA Swine Facility Management Contest

Contest Details:

The FFA Swine Facility Management Contest is a 4-person team contest that will test the knowledge of youth in issues pertaining to swine production – feed, water, air, facility management and recordkeeping. The event is based on the principles of We Care, PQA Plus and TQA to ensure producers are raising pigs in a safe environment and train youth in all skills that translate to careers in the swine industry.

Teams for this statewide contest are limited, so be sure to register early. It will consist of a written exam and a hands-on evaluation. A resource guide will be provided to chapters upon acceptance of application. Past competitors are NOT allowed to compete.

There will be a morning (9:00 am to 11:50 am) and afternoon session (1:30 am to 4:20 pm). We will try to accommodate, but cannot guarantee session preference. NO LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED. We will provide a $200 stipend to competing teams. Teams will receive final results one week after the contest. The top five teams

 

Prizes:

Teams will receive final results one week after the contest. The top five teams and top four individuals will be recognized on stage at the 2026 Missouri FFA Convention.

Top Teams – plaques
Individual 1st – $400 scholarship and plaque
Individual 2nd – $300 scholarship and plaque
Individual 3rd – $250 scholarship and plaque
Individual 4th – $250 scholarship and plaque
