The rivalry between Grrece and Bulgaria has a long recorded history. Bulgarians have been at the throats of Greeks ever since they migrated to the Balkans, which continued even after their Christianisation. One might suggest that continued Bulgarian hostility to the Byzantine Empire effectively restricted it from devoting their resources towards other pressing needs. Even after when they finally re-emerged out of the Turkish rule, they were soon bickering against one another in the Balkan wars and the World Wars. Even during the Cold War, Greece and Bulgaria were in opposing camps. But curiously, Greece and Bulgaria are quite chill today compared to what they had been throughout the history. What changed in between?

Again, you are projecting your own prejudices and phobias onto others. Greece and Bulgaria have no significant current disputes. They have an agreed border and profit from international trade. The assumption that Hatred is normal and eternal is deeply troubling. Commented 2 days ago

Wait until you hear about how well Italy and Tunisia get along. How could they have forgotten about the Punic Wars and Roman Africa, I ask you? Maybe you can go over there and help them remember that they should be killing each other. Commented 2 days ago

Greece has a number of spats and disputes of varying gravity with its neighbors, so while I have no idea what the deal is with Bulgaria, I wouldn't rule out that they had some historical enmity until recent times. Maybe the question could link some references to such recent disputes? No, Byzantine Empire is not recent. Say 1900s+ Also membership of the Warsaw Pact means little, the locals were rarely asked for their input by the USSR. Basically, asking how opponents made up makes for an interesting question, provided they were actually opponents in the first place. Commented 2 days ago

As there is no evidence provided in this question for recent political conflict between Greece and Bulgaria, this seems to be more of a history question than a politics question. I will leave it to the author to either clarify the question and flag to reopen or delete this question and repost it on history stack exchange with a clarification of which era they are asking about. You exaggerate the level of conflict between Bulgaria and Greece over the last 150 years. Bulgaria and Greece were allied as part of the Balkan League in the First Balkan War. Although they were nominally on opposing sides in WW1 they did not fight each other. In WW2 Bulgaria joined the Axis only under pressure from Germany (and having no nearby allies). They did not fight Greece, though they did occupy parts that Germany had conquered. In the Cold War they were occupied and given no choice as to which side they were on. Commented 2 days ago
