I've been using Python (both professionally and as a hobbyist) since at least late 2004.
Currently working on PAPER (the Python Application, Package and Environment wRangler, an alternative to Pip and Pipx) and soon to return to bbbb (the Bare-Bones Build Backend, a simple build backend taking some of Flit's minimalist philosophy but with the ability to support non-Python code and more complex package structures).
Upcoming planned projects include artdeco: a library for orchestrating build processes in Python, essentially allowing you to write a Makefile in Python code using decorators to mark the "build rules". I also have ideas for several more useful tools (probably mostly on the smaller side), and somewhere in there I plan to take a bit of time to learn Rust.
