About
Mathematician. Reader. Writer. Riddler.
Co-creator of the Riddler's Den, where stylised riddles were published each Friday, along with solutions, during 2015 and 2016.
I do what I can to be a class act,
Though I fear that detractors shall ever detract.
I pay them no heed; they're not worth my time
(except to disparage them briefly in rhyme).
I've been here since 2014, a mod since 2025, and formerly a troublemaker. I was the #1 user by rep from 2015 to 2020 (more or less). I survived the Great Puzzling War and the rise and fall of many puzzling crazes. Mathematician and poet; can handle most tags except computer-puzzle and many kinds of trivia. Long-term defender of riddles on meta, and the first person to win a gold tag badge on Puzzling, as well as the first person to hit 100k reputation. As a mod, I try to be always present in case of need, while not obtrusive or trigger-happy. Feel free to call me out if you think I've done anything wrong.
Moderator of three other Stack Exchange sites as well:
Sci-Fi & Fantasy - I joined for the fantasy novels, and learned about other things mostly by osmosis. Most of my favourite works are sadly underrepresented on the site; ping me in chat for recommendations.
Literature - I helped build this site since day 1, and have always been the #1 user by rep there (due to constant activity more than serious expertise, though). Any kind of "literature" in the broadest sense (novels, short stories, plays, poetry, comic books, song lyrics, essays, speeches, ...) is included in the very broad scope. Check out the hundreds of unanswered questions, post your own questions, or join us in chat. It's a small site, but we have some incredible Q&A, as well as regular reading challenges which anyone can join. So little time, so much to read ...
Veganism & Vegetarianism - a tiny beta site, where I became a mod almost by accident. As a lifelong vegetarian, I'm invested in the topic but must admit it's essentially a failure as a Stack Exchange site project.
Also a member of a few other Stack Exchange sites, but not many and I like to keep it that way. I'm not interested in having a lot of site profiles across the SE network.
