My boss made this riddle.

I am devoted…. I am sweet…. Sometimes I am sour. I am like a punctuation. You all know me. We often clash.
Who, what or where am I?

I am very big, you can’t miss me. Yet I am small, like a period. You enjoy me after a meal. I am not a who or an object.

I believe that the answer is

date.

Devoted / sweet / sometimes sour-a date can be a romantic meet-up with someone you’re devoted to; a date (the fruit) is sweet, and can be sour when unripe.

We often clash-dates clash—scheduling conflicts.

Very big / can’t miss me-big days (holidays, weddings).

Small, like a period-maybe means periods of time?

Enjoyed after a meal-people eat dates as dessert or go on a dinner date.

Not a who or an object-in the intended sense, a date is a time/occasion, not a person or a thing.
