What began as a small initiative has grown into a 12-week Residential Intern Program organized by ASSA ABLOY’s Americas Residential business at its operations in Lake Forest, California, USA. The program now supports 34 interns across engineering, marketing, finance, HR, and more. Open to university students and recent graduates, it offers meaningful projects, real business challenges, and guidance from experienced mentors. For many, the internship becomes more than a summer experience. Former interns have built successful careers across ASSA ABLOY, progressing into roles such as engineers, product managers, and business leaders. As Talent Acquisition Manager Tami Nichols Flammer notes: “We went from one or two interns to 12, then 20, and now 34. We expect that number to continue growing, which is incredibly exciting.” The Residential Intern Program is one of many internship and trainee programs across ASSA ABLOY.
