Cassandra Wright

Dr Cassandra Wright is a public health researcher, focused on alcohol policy. She holds an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Research Award on alcohol policy in the Northern Territory. She works alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to conduct ethical research aimed at supporting better outcomes for communities in relation to commercial determinants of health including alcohol.

Prior to her appointment at Menzies, she worked at the Centre for Alcohol Policy Research in Melbourne as a Research Fellow. She completed her PhD at the Burnet Institute (enrolled through Monash University). Her PhD focused on interventions to reduce alcohol consumption among young people.

She is the Northern Territory Representative for the Australasian Professional Society for Alcohol and other Drugs (APSAD) Council.
