I'm adjunct faculty at the University of New Mexico and an associate professor of translational neuroscience at the Mind Research Network. I'm an addiction psychiatrist, general psychiatrist and researcher in the area of addictions neuroscience and addiction treatment. I have also written for The Hill, Science in the News, The Santa Fe Reporter, Psychology Today and others. I am the author of a recently-released self-help book entitled "Rewire Your Food-Addicted Brain: Fight Cravings and Break Free from a High-Sugar Ultra-Processed Diet Using Neuroscience" and a 2021 textbook entitled "Food Addiction, Obesity and Disorders of Overeating", both available for purchase at major retailers.
