Gerald is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the African Climate and Development Initiative (ACDI), University of Cape Town, within the People in Nature & Climate (PiNC) Lab. He is an environmental economist whose research focuses on the intersections of nature-based solutions, climate adaptation, human well-being, and climate finance in developing countries. His work examines how environmental and climate interventions can contribute to more equitable and resilient development, with particular attention to the social and economic dimensions of climate change and adaptation.
