I am a resource economist working on the intersection of food systems, renewable resources, and environmental pollution. My research spotlights hidden values that may otherwise be underestimated in policy-making, with an emphasis on the socioeconomic impacts of environmental change. I have collaborated with interdisciplinary research teams across Europe, North America and Africa on projects related to sustainable fisheries, one health, and the future of aquatic food systems. I am currently Assistant professor of Resource Economics at the Department for Food and Resource Economics (IFRO) at the University of Copenhagen. In 2025, I was awarded the AXA XL Valuing Nature award for my work in highlighting the value of nature in supporting communities.
