Raymundo Martínez Jiménez

I am a Forest Engineer with a Master’s degree in Conservation and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources. My professional work has focused on ecology, agroforestry systems, agroecology, and the management of non-timber forest resources in rural communities across Mexico. I specialize in the Agave genus, where I serve as a curator for the iNaturalist network. In addition, I teach in the “Explora Mezcal” diploma program, contributing to the study and dissemination of traditional and sustainable agave management. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), focusing my research on the ecological and socio-environmental dimensions of agave landscapes.
