Sarah R. Supp

(she, her)

Dr. Supp is an Associate Professor of Data Analytics and Environmental Studies at Denison University. She is a quantitative ecologist researching how biodiversity is changing across the planet, using a combination of field studies, large-scale analyses of published datasets, and data science tools. Sarah works with undergraduate students across disciplines (STEM, social science, humanities) to apply analytics tools to real world problems and datasets, with an eye towards effective communication and transparent workflows. Her interdisciplinary courses, include teaching data collection, processing, analysis, visualization, coding, and reproducibility, from novel to advanced levels. She leads the Data Science at Liberal Arts Colleges Network and co-leads the Biological and Environmental Data Education Network, both of which facilitate resources and conversation for educators to integrate data science skills into their courses.
