After a trial run last fall Texas A&M is getting more involved with NASCAR and even venturing into Indy Car Racing this year.
The school announced in a Wednesday news release that it is partnering with the Haas Factory Team in NASCAR to become a season-long associate sponsor of the No. 41 car driven by Cole Custer.
Texas A&M also will have a sponsorship in Indy Car Racing as the school logo will be added to the helmet and uniform of Swedish driver Felix Rosenqvist, who races for the Meyer Shank Racing team.
“These partnerships with HFT, Cole and Felix present big, natural avenues to consistently communicate externally what Texas A&M stands for with great visibility, value and shared values,” Ethan Braden, Texas A&M vice president and chief marketing and communications officer said in a statement. “Motorsports are especially well-positioned to deliver cost-effective and efficient national reach with millions, deep fan engagement and loyalty, and a values-aligned audience for Texas A&M University.”

Haas Factory Team, which last season was known as Stewart-Haas Racing, partnered with Texas A&M in 2024 for two races. In October, the A&M logo and colors were used on the No. 14 Ford driven by Chase Briscoe at the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
On Veterans Day weekend the No. 4 Ford driven by Josh Berry had A&M logos and a camouflage paint scheme to honor military veterans in the final race of the season at Phoenix Raceway.
The Veterans Day paint scheme will be brought back this year on Memorial Day weekend for the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 25. The camo will be worn by Custer’s No. 41 as well as the name of Capt. Ronald Forrester, an Aggie and Marine aviation navigator who was listed as missing in action after his plane crashed during a combat mission in North Vietnam and whose remains were recently returned to the United States. Forrester’s name will be next to Custer’s on the windshield.
“I’m proud to carry the Texas A&M branding on our No. 41 Ford Mustang this season,” Custer said in a statement. “It was a productive partnership in 2024, so we look forward to expanding the relationship and raising awareness around Texas A&M’s commitment to our country’s military personnel. The Aggie Core Values align well with our philosophy at Haas and resonate with the NASCAR fanbase.”
Earlier that day, Rosenqvist will carry the logo as part of the historic Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Rosenqvist, a native of Varnamo, Sweden, is in his seventh season as a driver in the IndyCar Series. He was Rookie of the Year for the series in 2019. Like Custer, Rosenqvist is looking forward to the partnership with Texas A&M.
“I’m excited to partner with Texas A&M for the 2025 INDYCAR season and support their efforts to honor our country’s military-affiliated personnel,” Rosenqvist said in a statement. “Texas A&M has a powerful message and inspiring culture, and I look forward to collaborating with the university to help share its story this year. It’s an honor to be associated with an institution that is wholly committed to making a local and global impact.”
