What’s your favorite way to have lima bean loaf? Soup? Fried? En casserole?

Image description: The label of a can for MARIO Quality Lima Bean Loaf. The label depicts a can-shaped, yellowish, loaf of food. Two slices have been cut from the main loaf. The side of the label gives SUGGESTIONS FOR TASTY LIMA BEAN LOAF DISHES: 

1. For creamed soup, add cream or milk and season to taste.

2. Add broth to make soup or consomme.

3. Open both ends with smooth opener, slice the loaf and fry in butter. Serve with bacon and eggs, syrup, fruit syrup or cream.

4. Heat and add butter as substitute for mashed potatoes or vegetables.

5. Use in place of bread.

6. Bean Loaf en casserole - Slice and place two strips of bacon on top. Bake in moderate oven until golden brown.

7. A splendid stuffing for fowl. Season as for a bread dressing.”
