Details

A good cherry snaps when you bite it. Ours are sweet, firm and full flavoured, dark red and heavy in the hand.

Hawke's Bay grows some of the first cherries in the country, so ours arrive from late November through to Christmas. That's the stretch when a bowl of cherries is worth the most, and it's well ahead of the main crop.

Most get eaten cold and by the handful. If any last longer than that, they're lovely halved through a summer salad, spooned over pavlova, or piled on a platter with cheese.

The season runs for a matter of weeks. Once it's done, that's it for the year.

Storage

Your cherries travel with an ice pack to keep them cool on the way, so they'll arrive ready to go straight into the fridge. Eat them within three to four days of arrival.

Take them out about twenty minutes before eating, the flavour is noticeably better when they're not fridge cold.

We send all orders with NZ Post using a tracked courier service.

Overnight delivery to the North Island and Christchurch. Two-day delivery to the rest of the South Island.
Rural deliveries may take an extra day.

Every punnet includes an ice pack to keep the cherries cool in transit. Cherries are at their best the sooner they arrive, so if you have the option we'd suggest sending them to a non-rural address for overnight delivery.

If you're not happy with your cherries, just get in touch within 48 hours and we'll replace them or refund 100% of your money.

You won't even need to return the fruit.

Our Growers

Our cherries come from a Hawke's Bay orchard we've worked with for three years now. They're one of the first growers in the country to pick each season, and the cherries that come off their trees are consistently big, dark and sweet.

Cherries are a hard crop to get right, so a grower we can count on year after year matters more than it does with almost anything else we sell.

The fruit comes to us fresh off the orchard and we pack every punnet ourselves here in Gisborne, with an ice pack, ready to go.
